First time in New York, and we were so lucky to choose this hotel, right by Battery Park ( it’s in the name so a bit of a clue) but also very close to the 9/11 memorial, it’s a nice walk up the Hudson River to get there, very near Leo’s Bagel Shop, ( cracking bagels Grommet!) Bowling Green Subway Station connects to everywhere, and the 4 train takes you straight to Yankees Stadium. Great room, well appointed, kitchen, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, really comfortable bed, plenty of storage. The staff are really friendly and very helpful for a novice to New York.

Das einzige Positive sind die große Zimmer. Das Zimmer war bereits bei Ankunft nicht sauber und wurde auch die komplette Woche nie gereinigt. Es wurde nicht ein Mal der Müll entsorgt oder die Handtücher getauscht. Die Lage ist gut man erreicht schnell eine U-Bahn und das World Trade Center. Der Pool war geschlossen. Personal wenig Hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ist es bei über 300€ pro Nacht viel zu teuer. Wenn Sie wenigstens auf die Sauberkeit mehr Wert legen würden dann wäre die Unterkunft ganz in Ordnung aber so nicht empfehlenswert.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Close to breakfast spots, subway and whole foods or smaller convenience stores. Not enough lockers but we could leave our luggage at the front desk which was nice. Beds are uncomfortable glad I brought my own pillow. The sofa bed is not a bed we bought an air mattress on the second day. We were on the wrong side of the building very noisy due to the traffic outside. Would have liked a separate shower not a tub you stand in with a shower head that wasn’t adjustable.

Das Sofa im Wohnzimmer war leider einfach unmöglich. Die Spiralen kommen durch. Es tut einfach weh. Ansonsten wer es wirklich super. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist super. Die Größe des Apartments ist auch super. Wie kamen auch immer gut „Heim“, egal wo wir gestartet sind.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sonder Battery Park recently. The location is very convenient - 10-15 mins to 9/11 museum, World Trade Center, and Statue of Liberty cruise. Several subway stops nearby can get you anywhere else you'd like to go. Plenty of food and coffee options nearby, as well as a Whole Foods a few blocks away for some groceries. The apartment has plenty of space for our family of four, and the staff at the front desk were kind and customer focused. Loved it!

Tolles appartement. Ideal um von dort aus new york zu erkunden. Das Apartment ist komplett ausgestattet, sodass man auch dort essen zubereiten kann. Leider hatte der tolle rooftop bereich aufgrund bauarbeiten zu gehabt.

Wir waren total begeistert von der größe unseren Appartements! Besonders für den preis war alles top. Draußen direkt vor dem fenster befindet sich ein tunnel der relativ laut ist, was uns aber nicht wirklich gestört hat. Die lage ist top man kommt überall hin. Für den preis absolut empfehlenswert.

Perfekte Größe und Ausstattung, um das Hotelzimmer nicht nur zum Schlafen zu nutzen. Die Möglichkeit, morgens im Zimmer zu frühstücken und Kaffee zu machen, spart eine Menge Geld und auch nach einem langen Tag sightseeing muss man seine Pizza nicht im Bett essen, sondern hat einen Tisch und „echtes“ Besteck 😉

Estuvimos hospedados durante 9 días y todo excelente, los cuartos muy bien equipados, cuenta con todo para que te sientas como en casa, hay muchas estaciones de tren a los alrededores por lo que puedes llegar en tren fácilmente a cualquier parte, la zona es súper segura y hay tiendas y supermercados cerca.

Points positifs : Hôtel très agréable. Chambre spacieuse. Lit king size, canapé king size. Meubles basiques très suffisants. Magnifique cuisine fonctionnelle. Lave linge et sèche linge. Salle de bain confortable. 2 placards. L'application de l'hôtel permet de communiquer dans votre langue à tout moment. Personnel au top, serviable, réactif même la nuit. Grande fenêtre avec vue sur les buildings très appréciée. Plusieurs métros : sortir de l'hôtel à gauche, prendre le pont piéton à droite, aller à gauche sur la petite place : ligne 1 rector street et en face lignes R et W rector street. En sortant de l'hôtel à droite, au bout de la rue tournez à gauche, tout droit : lignes 4 et 5 bowling Green. On peut aller à pieds au départ du bateau pour la statue de la liberté et à ground 0. Attention le métro n'est pas comme à Paris. Il y a pour une même ligne, une entrée dans la rue pour une direction, une autre entrée de l'autre côté de la rue pour l'autre direction. L'hôtel sonder se situe à la pointe sud de manhattan aussi : pour aller visiter vous irez "up town". Pour retourner à l'hôtel vous irez "down town" (repère). Prendre la metrocard illimité 7 jours glissants 34 dollars. Une CB ne peut payer que 2 metrocard maximum donc avoir une 2e CB ou liquide. Points négatifs : soufflerie fait du bruit si sensible. Mes enfants n'ont rien remarqué. Pour la télévision il faut chromecast. Canapé pas confortable. Données bancaires, identité à fournir à sonder (si dégradations).
Vue de l'hôtel la nuit
Chambre 1513 au 15e étage.
Cuisine avec frigo, congélateur, four, four à micro ondes, placards, vaisselle et tous ustensiles (produit vaisselle, éponge, torchons, dosettes lave vaisselle et lave linge..)
Lave linge et sèche linge.

The apartments are large and fairly new, with nice windows and a view of Battery Park. However, they had a lot of facility problems with elevators not working, ran out of detergent and very few lockers. Although there is not a lot to do in very close proximity, with a 15 minute walk there is and it has excellent connection to multiple subway lines.

Loved this property and would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s right near the subway. Easy walk to the ferry and the staff were amazing. Both myself and my husband both said it’s a lovely hidden gem that we were very lucky to have found. If you have kids, family or just a couple this is the place to stay. Plus the pizza just around the corner is to die for !!!!!

We stayed here for 2 weeks, and overall it was a really pleasant experience. The area is fantastic for those who want access to a ton of subway lines in close proximity to the hotel, as well as some quick food options that are just as close (Starbucks, chipotle, deli, etc). There were a few downsides which made the experience living here a little less convenient. On 3 separate occasions the code and virtual key to open our room door would not work and so we needed to go the the front desk to get someone to unlock our door. Not the end of the world, but pretty inconvenient when you live on the 14th floor. The other thing that was a little disappointing was the fact that a lot of the dishes were dirty at the time we checked in, as well as the fact that the lid for the puck detergent on the dishwasher was broken at the time of check in as well. The side for liquid soap still worked but it was disappointing that we couldn’t use the provided detergent pods. A lot of the complimentary cleaning supplies were also low at the time of check in. Other than that, I would recommend the Sonder for anyone looking for an affordable option in a great part of Manhattan for a long-term stay.

Hotel is really good and no resort fees which can be hard to find in New York! However the staff didn’t greet us once with a simple “good morning” or “hello” when entering or exiting the building they were just sat around talking to each other but it wasn’t personally a big deal for us. Also i think the security of the building could’ve been improved because anyone could walk straight into the lobby and right up the elevators and straight to your hotel door without needing a room key or passcode which I thought wasn’t very safe. And the staff at the front desk weren’t exactly looking to check who was coming in and out of the building either. Gym was also on the smaller side which wasn’t a massive deal but could’ve been improved because no more than 6 people could be in there at once. If you use the Sonder app the customer service live chat is amazing and really easy to use. Overall 8/10.
