Our family of 9 flew from different parts of the country to meet up in NOLA for the holidays. We all arrived earlier than expected and were able to get in to the home a bit earlier than check in (thank goodness!). The uber from airport to door was about $35.
Once we got in, though...We were like kids in a candy store! All lovers of old houses and architecture, we immediately had to check every door, every room, Every armoire, and all the bits and bobs that give this home so much charm.
The location was great! Pretty easy walks to the French Quarter, unless you have mobility issues. The curbs and crossings are bumpy and in need of repair, but the streets were well lit.
Some cons: the house is old, and the noises that come with it are to be expected. Don't think you will have a silent 100+ yr old home to sleep in. Creaks and squeaks, loud heater, few outlets, drafty bedrooms, crappy showers, and I hope in the future that the owner considers more comfortable furniture for the living room.
But you know what? I'd stay here again! The property manager was able to secure a pack and play for my kiddo, and they answered all of our questions quickly. Even if I didn't stay at this particular property, I would stay at any of their homes knowing I would be well taken care of.
