Parking lot/self pay parking was the only plus. The room was dated, not cleaned, and not the room I originally booked. I understand rooms are not guaranteed due to not receiving a room with a bath tub. The half shower door sprayed water everywhere, resulting in soaking the floor which is a safety hazard. I brought it up to management and was advised to put a towel down, as if I had not done that already, and was questioned “why I’d want to take a bath in a hotel room” when the topic of room availability was brought up. Our entrance/security room door lock was broken upon arrival, but maintenance did fix this in a timely manner. The discount to the restaurant attached to the hotel is misleading and ultimately ended up being no use to us even though we dined there with the expectation of a discount. Location of this hotel is convenient but as a Louisiana native and frequent visitor of New Orleans, it was disappointing.

The room was clean and the staff were amazing. The stairs to my room didn't feel very solid, some areas felt soft. I was also not told before check-in that some of the buildings didn't have elevators and I was on the 3rd floor.

I wanted to take the opportunity to shout out to the staff. They did much with the little that they were provided. I do not blame them so will not speak poorly about their service. The fault or lack of wash cloths, face towels, soap is on the owners. So to the people who own this establishment help the property to be better rated by providing the supplies that your guests will need.

AC is a bit load but it's cold. Just some loud kids in the middle of the night. Our phone rang 2x around 2am no answer.

Everyone was nice had an issue with the shower not working maintenance man was very nice and recommended places to eat and they moved me into an executive suite no extra cost, it was very nice they handled things quickly and staff was very friendly

I liked the old vintage feel and it was ok for the price and location. The property itself was kind of beat up though. You can tell its been used for a long time with basic maintenance upkeep. The staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was ok. Location was ok. The day we left there was a BIG cockroach climbing the wall. Had I seen that at first I would have wanted another room. I would problably stay again though because I liked the charm. The beds were comfy and having breakfast available was a plus

The Room was dirty, staff did not help when cable went out just said they could send someone no one came they sheets had blood and dirt on them TV stopped working when we complained about our room and asked for a manager we kept getting different information about when they would be in overall if you are in New Orleans or planning to stay I would not just get Airbnb or another hotel the building is not as shown in the pictures on Expedia website , it was more run down than pictured Expedia let me down with this and I expected more out of them and overran this hotel ruined my trip we did not feel comfortable in the room at all . We had to book another hotel just so we could Not stay in this dump

Booked a twin double style room, got one by the pool for a solo trip. Clean rooms (Wish they had mats though). Loved the TV, AC, with the pool/hot tub combo. Stayed for 2 nights.

We had a few small snafus but all in all it was pretty great. Our room was nice and off of the courtyard. We were on the ground floor and we liked it a lot. Due to Mardi Gras the pool was closed the whole time as they sell washroom passes is my guess. Not sure if those bathroom passes were worth it. I would have preferred to have the pool open but I know it's a great time to make extra money. There was a lot going on with people coming in and out. We asked for more supplies which never came but we found the cart and the cleaning staff were able to help us directly. All things considered if you want to be on the parade route it's a great option. We had wanted to see some of the walking parades so it was a bit far to get to where we wanted to go but it was a great location.

Clean room very cozy place. Don’t leave anything in your car. It will be broken into. But not a big deal really. We had a great stay.

I booked a two-night stay from April 6 to April 8, 2026, and checked in around 2:30 AM on April 6. This trip was already under very difficult circumstances, as my aunt had just passed away and her service was on April 4. My husband and I came to New Orleans hoping to clear our minds. Unfortunately, on the morning of April 7, I received news that another aunt had passed away, and we had to immediately return to Dallas. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and request a refund for the unused night. I was told that only a manager could make that decision, and no manager was available at the time. I was given email addresses and advised to follow up. I checked out at 11 AM on April 7 and made several attempts to reach management by email. After multiple efforts, I finally received a call back from the manager. I explained my situation in full, including the back-to-back family losses and sudden need to leave. Despite this, the manager refused to issue any refund for the night I did not stay. Given the circumstances, I found the response to be extremely disappointing and lacking empathy. A situation involving multiple family deaths was met with inflexibility and no willingness to accommodate even a partial refund. This experience left me feeling that customer care and compassion were not a priority.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Maison St Charles. The pool and hot tub were clean. The breakfast was worth the $14.99 cost! Our room was very nice and clean, and the bed was comfy. The only negative thing was that our shower water was not hot and the water pressure was very low. The property is very pretty and peaceful with traditional NOLA style courtyards. Steps from the street car so we used that to get everywhere we needed to go. A Wendy's is right next door so we walked over and got a late night snack.

Staff was nice. The sleeping area was not bad the problem was the bathroom. Shower was not clean at all. Soap scum all over the glass and bottom of shower. Looked like the floor hadnt been mopped in a long time. Door would not close properly and toilet kept running. Only stayed 1 night so it wasnt worth complaining in my opinion.
