Governors Historic Home Historic Getaways

Location, location, location! This is historic home is one unit in a four-plex located literally across the street from the French Quarter. With granite countertops, a full kitchen, and a comfortable living room - this is is the perfect home base for a full weekend of New Orleans adventures. Welcome!

Kitchen stocked to prepare any meals, Keurig with coffee provided. Lovely living room and kitchen with breakfast bar. All bathrooms come with essentials such as 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/bodywash and fluffy towels!

Steps to Rampart, our home is nestled next door to the Jazz and Heritage Museum. There`s a convenience store across the street for quick essentials and we are one minute from the Rampart Streetcar pick-up.
All reservations require a $500 refundable deposit.

Fantastic place for a group stay! Lots of individual, comfortable beds and bathrooms. Ample amenities for lounging in and great location for an easy walk into the French Quarter. Highly recommended and would stay ahain!

We stayed here for a bachelor party and the setup was perfect for us. A very clean and comfortable home that is a short walk to all the bars and restaurants around bourbon street. Our flight in was very early and the host was flexible allowing us to drop our bags early. We would definitely stay here again.

Wedding Stay

We had a group of 10 adults in town for a wedding. The property was clean and conveniently located. 5 bathrooms with showers was CLUTCH. We were concerned that there would not be enough hot water for 10 showers but there was no problem. The communication with the property manager was very good. Will stay here again.

Great house and location

Group of 9 family and friends stayed with us for husbands Birthday. House is in a convenient location for walking everywhere in the Quarter and Frenchmen. All the bedrooms are upstairs so be prepared for a double flight of stairs to get up to your bedroom and bath. House is directly across the street from a convenience store which is handy for getting ice and they do have good fried chicken for a late night snack. Overall the house is quiet and beds are comfortable so everyone slept well. Street parking was available right in front of the house. We all had a great time and if you are looking for a large rental that sleeps a crowd this is it. Would definitely rent again.

The perfect place for a bachelor party/large group!

We had a great time in New Orleans and this vrbo played a big part in that. The location is perfect right on the edge of the French Quarter and Treme. We were able to also walk to Frenchman street as well. The host was very communicable and we were able to secure a late checkout for a small fee. The apartment is much larger than it appears in the pictures - two floors with high ceilings. Five bedrooms with nine beds and 5.5 bathrooms was a supremely clutch combination for our bachelor party. The living room downstairs also contained a small kitchen area with all needed appliances. There was also a large washer and dryer upstairs. We felt safe in the neighborhood. If you stay here, try the fried chicken at the gas station across the street. I know, I thought it sounded crazy, too. But trust me!

This place is great! Very clean and spacious. It is bigger than it looks in pictures. Having a bathroom in every room was such a big plus. The gas station across the street is also a bonus. It accommodated our group of nine very comfortably. I would definitely stay here again with a big group!
