Freshly updated in 2023, this historic shotgun home is perfectly located in the fun/funky Irish Channel. It's walkable to Magazine St & St. Charles Ave and has easy access to the French Quarter, Convention Center, uptown, and the Warehouse District.

At nearly 1,200 sq. ft, it has a charming vibe and three lovely outdoor spaces. This 2 bed/2 full bath home has fun artwork, off-street parking, Level II E/V charger, all new bedding, fast Wi-Fi, and the owners are <1 mile away for support.
The space

The Ninth Street Shotgun is a single-family dwelling. You have the entire house to yourself and do not share any walls with anyone.

You'll love this fun, comfortable space! The house has two bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a brand new king sized bed with hybrid mattress and brand new comfy linens and pillows. It has a large, walk-in closet and a luxury bathroom, bathtub with shower, and larger sized vanity. There is a Smart TV with remote and access to the back deck.

The secondary bedroom has a brand new king sized bed with hybrid mattress and new comfy linens and pillows. A Smart TV, accent chair, and closet are all ready for your use.

There is a full sized washer and dryer available for guest use. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa for those who want to escape any snoring.

The full-size kitchen is well equipped with convection oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. A drip coffee maker, Keurig, teapot, and toaster are also provided.

Guest access
The shotgun house has an off-street parking space right in front. There is also free street parking across and adjacent to the house, you just need to watch for gates and driveways. You'll get access to the house from a code I send you for the electronic keycode lock.

Grocery stores, bars, amazing restaurants, banks, dry cleaners, pharmacies, all kinds of local/retail shopping, and fashion/costume stores are all very close by and walkable.

Other things to note
Staying here you'll be centrally located to many parts of the city. The heart of Magazine St and its funky boutiques, bars, restaurants, and people watching are a short walk away. St. Charles Ave, the streetcar line, and major Mardi Gras parades are a few blocks further, through some of the most scenic and picturesque neighborhoods in the city.

Amazing stay!
We were in town with family for a wedding and we had a fantastic stay. The house was even better than the pictures, beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. Andrew’s welcome book was super helpful and we loved the various books on Louisana and New Orleans.

Perfect location for graduation weekend at Tulane . Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and a great lounge area . Didn't explore the outside as it was too hot and humid but looked ideal for enjoying cocktails before going out . Would definitely stay there again .

What a lovely property! Our host, Andrew, was so helpful and responsive, making suggestions and checking in. Having the off street parking was key since two of our four were riding their motorcycles down the Great River Road to the Gulf.

Perfect stay
We loved our stay at the “Charming Historic Shotgun House”. The property was immaculate, comfortable and very well appointed. It was perfect for two couples. So close to Magazine Street with great restaurants and shops. It was an easy few blocks up 8th street to St. Charles St, where we caught the streetcar to Canal St. Andrew(our host) was amazing, full of information and very quick to respond to any questions we had. We enjoyed cocktails on the outside spaces. The notebook Andrew left was so helpful too. By far our favorite VRBO on our trip! We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house in super location
This property is one of the best I have ever rented. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated (and I am an interior designer). The bed was perfect. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities, and you have your choice of a Keurig or drip coffeemaker. Bathrooms provided plenty of storage space for toiletries, and towels were nice and fluffy. There are three separate outdoor spaces that are just lovely. The location could not be beat: 8 blocks from a dozen or more restaurants and some shopping. You can pick up a tour bus on Magazine as well. Andrew, our host, was welcoming and very helpful; he checked in with us the day after we arrived to make sure everything was to our liking. We enjoyed our time here very much.

Exactly what a vacation rental should be!
Spacious, beautiful, comfortable and the artwork throughout the house is outstanding. The outdoor spaces are just as inviting as the inside. We loved our stay. Spring Break/Birthday celebration for teen.
The home is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, well-stocked, and in a charming neighborhood off the beaten path but conveniently close to shopping, restaurants, and all the best of New Orleans. The owners are proactive with recommendations and communication but not intrusive. We were in NOLA to celebrate a milestone birthday for our teen, and he's now in love with the city, as we have been for years. Great spot!

We loved the house and the host. The house was great! Close to shopping and a short Uber to the French quarter. It had everything we needed and Andrew was always available to offer suggestions on what to do and where to eat. I highly recommend over a hotel stay. Best of the best
This 2br home is clean, comfortable, stylish and conveniently located near restaurants, groceries and shopping. Since I have an electric car, the EV charger was a real bonus. I have stayed in over 20 short-term rentals in New Orleans and this place is at the top of my list. The host was very responsive and he went above and beyond to make this just an amazing place to stay.

The perfect get away!!!
The house was even better than advertised and Andrew was the most amazing host. He made sure that everything was perfect the entire stay. Fantastic and unique New Orleans experience
My husband, two kids (2 and 5) and I absolutely loved staying in this beautiful shotgun home for 5 nights. It was incredibly clean and comfortable. Our host, Andrew, was one of the most helpful and communicative hosts we've ever had. It was in easy walking distance to the fun restaurants and shops along Magazine Street. Perfect spot - close to everything
This is a great property! The house is finished so nicely and has everything you need! It’s close (can easily walk) to Magazine and lots of good restaurants and shops. Andrew is super responsive and helps with anything you need. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
