Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Beach house review

Overall this townhouse served our needs. It’s very nice to have access to a pool and in general it had all the kitchen amenities we needed. However, it was a little farther from the beach than we anticipated — we definitely ended up driving to the public beach and had originally planned to walk. It’s clean enough but not immaculately so. The dishwasher needs to be replaced and sounds like it’s 100 years old.

Great Location, Beautiful House but....

The location was perfect! Close to the Gulf and the Sound. The house is spacious and appears very clean. The master bedroom and bath however were not cleaned well (hair in shower, trash on floor) and we soon discovered our socks were turning black after walking across the floors. Communication with Vacasa was always very pleasant. The electronic lock failed on our 3rd evening after hours. I called and was told someone local would contact me shortly and fix is as the battery seemed to be failing. After 30 min, I called again. After apologizing, she told me someone would be there "very soon". We ended up finding a back door unlocked and got in. After TWO HOURS I texted and was someone called me right away - assuring me she didn't know what was wrong and someone would contact me very very soon. NO ONE EVER CAME. The next day, we went into the local office and guess what? They told us someone would be in touch very soon. Maintenance never contacted us and the woman in the office made it sound like it was our fault. A man in a back office was obviously listening, but never came out. It is safe to say we will never rent a home managed by Vacasa again.

Excellent Location

Excellent location. The house was very clean. We had only one issue and talking back and forth with Vacasa they was extremely accommodating and tried to make things right. We would suggest that TV’s be put in the rooms there was only one in the whole house.

Great Location

This house is in a great location! Quiet neighborhood with a path to bay access just across the road and public beach access a 5 minute walk. The home was very spacious for our group of 7 people and very clean. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own blankets if you want to get cozy on the couch.

Nice beach home

The home was clean and furnished but not decorated. That doesn’t bother us since it makes it cleaner. There isn’t anything bad to say about it, but there were a few things we thought would improve the next visitor’s stay, such as lamps in the bedrooms and trash cans in the bathrooms. There are also wasp nests outside that need to be removed. Additionally, there were lots of nails outside that we picked up. Be careful, because there are plenty more.
