Kamares Villa, a 1912 stonebuilt estate with heated pool!

Villa Kamares is a traditional villa, consisted of three lovingly renovated, autonomous apartments, Villa Kamares features 5 bedrooms in total and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.



The Villa was originally built in 1912 and has recently been renovated using traditional mother earth materials, adorned with beautiful hand finished stone arches and walls, with some original wooden beamed ceilings and floors and is the only one on Crete which has had stone incorporated into its re-build on such a grand scale.



Layout

Each one of the three apartments is furnished with traditional furniture which retains a totally authentic Cretan feel but with all the modern conveniences such as air-conditioning, washing machine, 1,60 X 2,00 beds, smart TVs and free Wi-Fi access. In more detail:



1) Selene apartment is located on the ground floor and it offers a seating area, kitchen, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower.



2) Astraeus apartment is located on the first floor and it offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower, one of which is en-suite, a living room and an eye-catching blue kitchen. This apartment also offers a small balcony overlooking the street below.



3) Helios apartment is located on the first floor and it offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower. As you enter the apartment you can see the living room with a cozy energy fireplace, one of the bedrooms and the bathroom. An internal wooden stair leads to the attic, where the kitchen, second bedroom and veranda are located. This apartment also offers a small balcony overlooking the street below.



Helios apartment features a spacious veranda which opens from the kitchen/living room area. The veranda offers a beautiful sea view and overlooks the village and quaint main street below. A shaded dining table for 10 and the charcoal BBQ facilities, invite you to enjoy al fresco dining, while the 4 comfortable sun beds and outdoor seating area are perfect for relaxation all day long.



Pool area

From the main entrance on the ground floor of the villa guests can unwind at the beautiful, heated (at 32 °C), 10m2 plunge pool after descending a few steps and reaching the impressive stone wall atrium. The pool also features a hydromassage and seating area and is 1,20m deep. The pool area is equipped with extra seating spots and 2 cozy bean bag loungers.



Finally, as it’s situated in the heart of Panormo, a small fishing village on the north coast of Rethymno, the location of Villa Kamares is ideal, as everything is just outside or a short walk away. Just around the corner lies a small stunning harbor and beautiful beach with tavernas and bars overlooking the picturesque deep blue sea with translucent clean water and gorgeous hill scenes. Free public parking space is available 150 meters away from the villa.
