"Host has thought of everything between extra sheets, extra blankets, beach coolers, extra soaps (if you happened to forget yours), extra towels, dog toys....everything! This is our first time renting on VRBO and I will have to say we have very high expectations going further. We drove in from Michigan and after telling Wayne we wouldn't be in until around 7pm he made sure the property manager left some lights on for us in case we came in after dark. This cabin is absolutely beautiful and would LOVE to come back soon!!! 10/10 would recommend!!"

"Easy check in. Beautiful old hotel. We had a king suite on the first floor. It’s a little bigger than some & I didn’t want to deal with hauling things up. I didn’t know until we were checking out I could have wandered around and looked at things. It’s kinda like a museum in some areas. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom needs some minor changes. The shower curtain clings to you, needs to be longer w magnets. There’s absolutely no place to put any of your bathroom items or makeup. A small table or low shelving in the closet with no doors would help. Closet is in the bathroom. The shelf over the toilet leans & if touched things start to slide forward and it’s directly over the toilet with NO lid. Back of toilet there’s an handicap rail & prevents much of anything there. It does have an older look to fit the time period, but there needs to be some adjustments to have places to put your bathroom travel things. Small microwave and refrigerator. Tv is very high up & very small and it’s across the room from the bed. Being so close to the ceiling I got a creak in my next trying to look at it from the sofa. Man made lake/pond is across the road. Not far from chimney rock entrance & reason we were there. There’s so much going on and it’s coming back slowing. So much work to do in so many areas it’s gonna take time. Restaurant is closed and there’s no breakfast or anything around serving any so bring stuff with you or wait till lunch. "

"We absolutely love this property. It's clean, quiet, full kitchen, washer and dryer, Jacuzzi tub & the staff is amazing. Always helpful and friendly. It has become home away from home. "

"Management was hostile in that he would not accomodate a room change. A change that was reserved and just across the hall from our existing room. The change was driven by the very heavy traffic sound from I85 which could not be drowned out with the AC running and a sound machine. They said the rooms were sound proofed. NOT! He would not permit any conversation with house keeping to confirm our new room was ready and then asked us to leave the property because we talked to the nice ladies in our hallway which confirmed our new room was ready for us to move in. He was being intolerant which is an understatement..dictatorial is not a word you often hear in staying at a hotel. The rooms were run down, rusty metal and, had a smell and the breakfast offering not that of an accommodating hotel. Had to buy coffee elsewhere. They need remodeling and new management at a minimum. We will avoid this establishment."

"The cabin was lovely and felt secluded, which we enjoyed. The main area of the deck was a great space that got good sunlight, we did wish there was more/better outdoor seating options. Overall the cabin was great, but I do think the Ad for the house needs to be updated to include some of the local damage. "

"Absolutely loved our stay here. Beds were super comfortable and the walk in rain shower was awesome. The owners have a wonderful eye for decor. I appreciated the attention to even the tiniest detail. The only thing wrong was we weren't there long enough! I'm excited to return and share this gem with the rest of my family"
