"We were fine, just plates for microwave too big, no knifes and forks, no spoons if needed in the room, freezer was full of ice blocked, safe key issue, toilet was leaking, had to put towels on floor otherwise all good for better future, management was helpful thank you "

"The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The room, while on the small side, was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed.
There were a number of small items which detracted from my stay. Single ply toilet rolls in the bathroom, a small and well worn towel and shower in which the...

"Stay away from this property! I honestly don’t know how this lodge got its 4 stars. The way this lodge treats its guests is not worth even one star. We were given a shabby room, which clearly used to be a shed before. The parking space is so narrow that a taxi was asked to park within 30 cm from the door opening to our room, which implied that my family had to squeeze themselves through the opening. The management was immediately notified but ignored my wife’s request to move the taxi. Only when...

"The guest house is very clean and neat and the gardens well kept. Parking however was a problem, as was the entering and exiting the property. Breakfast which was included, was really disappointing. Some cereal, yoghurt, watered down juice of no discernable flavour, coffee and tea and a choice of 4 options for the hot meal. One option was Halaal and the rest were exactly the same, only the choice of sausage differed.Surely in a province rich in tropical offerings, some avocado and fresh fruit...

"The hosts are charming and very helpful. We felt most welcome. The stay was very comfortable, and the breakfast superb. There was evidence by way of ash and ends caught in the rail of the sliding doors of the bedroom leading out to the pool, that someone had smoked in the room which was unfortunate."

"The staff at the Maison-H was fantastic!! Debbie, Goda, and others plus the two dogs made our two week stay a great time. We enjoyed the breakfast meals and time in the swimming pool. Walks to the nearby beach were always a good experience. Monkeys at times in the morning were a fun surprise...dogs loved the time to bark. Uber access to nearby locations allowed us to skip renting a vehicle. Great restaurants in 5minutes by Uber. Site generator provided no issues with the local...

"We stayed for 1 night before the start of the Comrades Marathon. The hotel staff were excellent and it was helpful that they catered for the runners to have breakfast at 3am. Only negative is that our room was not that sound proof and we were repeatedly disturbed by other guests shouting and laughing in the corridor late at night. I called reception and they immediately put security in the corridor to ensure we were able to have a quiet rest of the night."
"Wonderful stay. Kind staff at breakfast and dinner, all were amazing. Check in had a few blips with the system picking up the wrong number of people and the wrong room but was quickly fixed. One point I would make is it’s incredibly difficult to find the hotels parking - no signposting meant we went into another much more expensive parking lot. I would definitely stay again, the staff and cleanliness make it a no brainer."
"A great place to stay near North Beach in Durban. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of things to eat. A couple of suggestions: breakfast might be improved if there was a wider selection of bread - they only had sliced bread. Also there was only one coffee machine for the whole of the restaurant so there were often queues.
I’d go back."
