This property is just a short 3-minute walk to the main shopping and dining district of Mount Dora. First time on the market this beautifully decorated 900 square foot 5 Star rental has been recently remodeled to reflect its carriage house feel. As you enter into the living room you immediately notice the fine attention to detail in all the wood moldings along with the vintage style floors. A 65” 4K television that features Netflix and Hulu Live programming is available for your viewing pleasure. The kitchenette features sleek granite countertops, a stainless steel refrigerator with ice-maker, dishwasher and microwave as well as a Keurig coffee station. The island with bar stools and matching countertops features an induction cooktop. A ½ bath with full-size washer and dryer is immediately off the living room. As you enter the master suite you’ll notice a king-size bed with memory foam mattress with cooling gel and Egyptian cotton sheets. Handsome shiplap siding is featured in both the bedroom and on-suite bathroom. This bath features an over-sized walk-in shower to round out this nicely appointed space. The bedroom also includes a 55” 4K television. For additional guests, a sleeper sofa with a comfortable memory foam mattress is located in the living room. There is an outside porch with 2 bar height chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine while you watch the sun go down!

Everything was as advertised. Lots of nice touches like wine and truffles waiting for us on arrival, a well stocked Keurig and designated parking. We really enjoyed our stay. Being able to walk to shops and restaurants was an added bonus.

Have been to Mount Dora before & wanted to stay close to town & in a nice place. The Carlton is all of that and more, it is a short 5 minute walk to the center of town and it is a 5 star place to stay. You are close enough to enjoy the town and all it has to offer and you are just far enough away to get the quietness that you are needing. We will definitely be back in the the fall!!!

This was our second stay at the Carlton and the third time we have stayed with Talia and Gabi. And, as usual, everything was perfect. From the happy birthday goodies to a quick text to walk us through the television, my husband and I felt welcomed and pampered! The property is clean and comfortable! If you are going to Mt. Dora, stay with them! You will not be disappointed!

The Franklin is a perfectly appointed home located within walking distance to all that Mount Dora has to offer. This is our second time staying at one of Talia’s rentals and we have had nothing but good experiences. The setup with the bedroom downstairs and it’s own wet bar and the pull out sofa upstairs with its own half bath was the ideal accommodation for our party. We look forward to returning!

We stayed two years ago in the adjacent property, the delightful Ingram . This visit we equally enjoyed the quality of Carlton, and especially its western exposure—a bit more private and more sunshine. We’d move into this lovely yellow house if we could!

We love these properties - all of them that are part of the Someplace Special in Mount Dora group. The perfect location, the perfect comfort level, the perfect cleanliness, the perfect decor, the wonderful treats, and the absolutely perfect hostess, Talia. We live close by but always feel like we have a great time there and come home refreshed after a relaxing, beautiful stay. A getaway without all of the other hassles related to long distance travel. Thank you for another perfect local stay!

I've been to Mount Dora many times before. Stayed at different locations each time. This is by far the nicest VRBO out of all of them. The property is clean inside and out. Most places in this area are usually very dated inside. The Carlton is a beautifully and tastefully remodeled home. Loved staying here. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again. They also have a property directly next door which I'm sure is just as nice.

What a perfect property for a visit to Mt. Dora! So close to everything, adorable neighborhood, and host Talia to help with whatever you need! Clean, so clean, well-decorated (I took notes for our next remodel!), amenities galore. Wine on arrival, soaps, shampoo, fluffy towels, extra pillows, comfortable sofa and chair, Keurig coffeemaker (with K cups!). The hard-bound book with all the important info is a nice touch because it’s easy to find and pretty, too! All in all, a really relaxing stay, but too short, so we will be back!

Absolutely exceptional condo; superb in cleanliness, decor, comfort and amenities. Host is easy to contact and responds quickly. Amenities include extras that cover everything. We celebrated a wonderful anniversary and were welcomed with a lovely charcuterie treat from our host. Very walkable to downtown. Delighted & would highly recommend to anyone. My 11 your old daughter and I stayed here for a 3 day mother-daughter getaway. The size was perfect for two people, and the location is excellent… We could walk to almost everything! The Carleton was extremely clean, comfortable and stylish. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, note that there is no oven (other than a microwave) and the stove burners are cleverly hidden under a cutting board. However, with all of the excellent dining options a short walk away, we did not need an oven. Talia responded to all of my emails immediately. Would love to stay here again!

The Carlton was super cute, clean, and in a great location. Bonus for me was they accommodated my large dog! I appreciated the quick response to my questions prior to booking. Great stay, I highly recommend this property!
