Oh Simon, we are so very pleased you took the time out of your precious day to review your stay. It gives us a chance to have a voice to the guests we have stay that feel it's ok to feel entitled.You see, one of our many jobs as managers is to ensure the welfare of our guests. As a duty of care, if we don't see a guest throughout their stay and check out time comes and goes, we enact due diligence and see if our guests are ok! Promptly at 10am, a Manager knocked (not pounded) on the door with 3 knocks, announcing it was the manager. After waiting several minutes, you opened the door. The exact conversation went as: Manager - "Hello, just seeing you're ok and that you are checking out?" You - "Well, I've got my bag, so what?" Manager - "10 o'clock, so just checking you're ok" You - "Stupid idiot". Manager "Thank you"Had you have mentioned that you wanted extra time, as some people do from time to time, we would have accommodated you and provided you with the extra time you needed.It was then that you walked to your car. Again, after several minutes, you started to drive out.What you have neglected to pass on is that you skidded your way towards reception. But instead of being a mature adult, you rolled down your window and then reached out and threw the room key out your window and it landing in the carpark. Like an entitled immature male, you then skidded off at speed towards our exit, with no consideration for anyone else that may have been in the carpark. By the way, our speed limit is posted at 5kmph and you clearly were much faster than that.Additionally, our modest accommodation, which you paid a whole 85 for, is advertised as basic, dongle style accommodation. The air conditioner, if you took the time to programme, automatically shuts on and off when it reaches the pre-programmed temperature you should have set.We get entitled guests like yourself all the time. Wanting 5 star rooms at rock bottom prices. You want the run of the house without consideration of the rest of the Motel, people or staff. We offer a wide range of accommodation, with friendly staff, spacious grounds and ample facilities. The next time someone makes the effort to check on your welfare, say thank you and appreciate that someone is looking out for you.

Thanks for the feedback. Agreed on the food options, small towns like ours have limited options when it comes to dining options, but in some ways, it encourages forward thinking and good planning.

Staff were not unfriendly, just bewildered by the insurmountable amount of questions you could ask. How does where you park or the number of stairs make a difference to your stay?

Hello Peter, we appreciate your feedback. Managers and staff were available throughout your stay. We were made aware of the noisy guests during your stay and were spoken to by the Manager on several occasions to lower the noise. They were also spoken to the next morning by Managers about the potential noise complaints. We apologise for the inconvenience. Both beds and pillows are all new. Very hard to please everyone 100% on the time. Safe travels.

Emmanuel, we are curious as to what was not very good? The room is fully renovated. A bath, walk in shower with rainforest shower. Ground floor with parking in front of the room. Curious also as to why you have waited until now to post your review when you stayed in October last year.

We are pleased you enjoyed your experience with us. For a guest to make a comment on our grounds means the extreme hard work that has been carried out in the last 6 months is having an impact visually. Stay tuned for further clean up updates and grounds to improve even further.

Brian, we have just checked the air conditioner in you room and it works perfectly. You may have wanted to check the settings, or even contacted the Hotel and we could have fixed the issue at the time.

Our Standard cabins have never been anything promised other than what is in the photos on the website. For 95 per night, they cabin had everything a budget conscious traveler would want. Clearly you are a budget conscious travel yourself. We checked your water supply and it functioned as required. There is no designated parking for any vehicles on the property. Parking is a first come first serve basis. Your opinion is yours, maybe next time, if you are not satisfied with your budget cabin, come and see the staff and we will provide you with upgarde options.

Hello, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Whilst we would enjoy greeting each and everyone of our guests, the harsh reality is that you may have come across news stories that all of rural business and hospitality are facing critical staff shortages. We simply do not have the staff to man a country motel reception 24 hours a day for the guest that wants the human interaction. We offer the kiosk so that guests can still check in, enjoy the motel facilities and enjoy a pleasant stay. We trust you appreciate that we have staff on reception whenever possible.
