The property was perfect for us. My aunt and uncle and my first cousin are the only family I have left in Morehead city. We enjoyed the porch one evening very much sitting around, shooting the breeze. I’m hoping to move back to the area within the next year. I’ve been using Vrbo for the past five summers or so. Your house was perfect for my daughter and I.

Enjoyed our stay, but

The house was very nice. Wasn't as clean as we would have liked. Dog hair even though it said was pet free place to stay. Overall, it was enjoyable. Would have like to had more chairs to sit in on the front porch. Had to bring ones from inside for all 4 of us to enjoy sitting out. None on the back deck either. The check in was a nightmare. We used the code for the palm read entry and it wouldn't let us in. We tried to contact the owner several times. No answer. It was hot and humid and we had unloaded our belongings and had to sit and wait for a very long time. The next door neighbor was so very nice and concerned that we couldn't get in nor contact the owner. She even tried with a number she had for the owner But no luck. The neighbor was finally able to remember that the owner had a key somewhere and she was able to get us in. We thought we would have to stay in a hotel. Something needs to be done about the lack of communication and being able to contact the owner. She finally called at 10 pm and asked if we got in the house. That was way too late to be asking. Thank you, dear kind neighbors. The owner reimbursed us $100, which was nice, but it was all traumatic. My adult son has MS and having to wait in the heat could have caused a relapse for him.

Vacation to observe Big Rock Tournament

The property was perfect. Loved the layout of the home. A short walk to Big Rock landing which was way better than driving and trying to find a parking spot. Short drive into town and to local beaches. Would definitely love to rent this location again.

Perfect

Visiting home for a quick trip. Location is great. Some parts of neighborhood may seem “off” but it truly is a safe/ nice area. Location is A++++. Inside of home is better than the pictures and the home has a lot of great features. Perfect size for small family. More space than expected. HVAC and all appliances worked great and there were ample towels, toiletries, utensils, etc included.

Perfect little cottage!

Where do I begin??? So clean, so well appointed and a 12 minute walk to the Morehead Seafood Festival. All the furniture was super comfortable and the 4 of us had plenty of room. Thank you for sharing such a gem of a cottage!

This was a great stay! Couldn't have asked for a better property manager. We got into town a little early and she allowed us to check in a little earlier, which was wonderful. Great house perfect for a family of four.

Wonderful cottage

First Time to North Carolina

This property was exceptionally nice!! I have stayed in other homes in Maine for over 20 years and this property was just as clean and welcoming as we hoped for sight unseen to a new location of the country. The owner was very receptive to any concerns before and during our stay. The neighbors were very friendly, and the surroundings were safe.

MLB Draft location

We will always remember our time in Morehead city. We had a great week staying at this property. My son played for the Morehead City Marlins and the week that we were there he was drafted by the Houston Astros to play professional baseball. Thank you so much for letting us use your house we enjoyed ourselves so much.

Perfect setup for our family

We took our 6yo across country for my niece’s graduation. They are moving so it was easier for us to get a place to stay. This olace was 5 min from their house and so convenient for us. Great location, newly remodeled, very cozy, has lots of amenities available. It was great to have a nice landing spot after long travel!

Beautiful, felt like home

This property felt like a family or friends home rather than a rental. Very comfortable furniture and bed, well appointed with anything you may need. Communication was excellent. Look forward to renting again!

Property is awesome, the home has been completely remodeled, I'm a carpenter by traide and they did a great job, furniture very comfortable. Home is close to everything we went to enjoy. Coffee pot was just for one cup at a time, I'm a 12 cup guy:) Only problem, it's probably going to be hard to rebook again I'm sure this property will be bucked up.

Little hiccup upon check in but that was not property or managements fault.

Enjoyed our stay at the Black Rose and hope to return for a stay when we come back soon for a house hunting trip! We liked the area so much we are ready for a move across the country.

Big Rock

We were in town to fish the Big Rock Tournament. House was prefect. Met all our needs. Has ZERO back yard though. It’s only weeds. No grass. No broom or dish rags. Limited linens for a 9 days stay (we used linen service) Constantly washing washcloths and towels. Washer and dryer works well. No grill. Property manager was super responsive with any questions or concerns that I had.

Cancer free

Long weekend with husband to celebrate his beating a bout with cancer of the neck. Property was absolutely beautiful and was perfect for the two of us. Loved every second there. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a get-away.

Beautiful new cottage!

Lovely house. Decorated beautifully and very convenient to all that the beach has to offer. Boating, shopping, restaurants, beach accesses, etc. Great host that responds quickly. Highly recommend staying at this cute cottage.

Wonderfull Morehead City Home

The house was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was spacious and appliances were immaculate. Neighbors were very cordial. Excellent location close to many great locations: Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, Fort Macon, Croatan National Forest and Dank Burrito. Also there are many nearby locations to launch kayaks/canoes.
