The host was very personable and took care to provide information of things to do around the surrounding area. However, the road to get to the hotel from Arenal was treacherous as it was mostly uphill, lots of curves and unpaved making it difficult to navigate.

Nice place on the inside but hard to find down a narrow street. Google Maps got me there. There’s free parking and an attached restaurant run by hotel manager’s sister. Room was good and it came with a free breakfast. It’s not really within a short walk to anything but services in town are a 2-minute drive. Close to attractions in Monteverde area. If you don't speak Spanish ask for help using the TV. Not much programming in English. Very windy the day i was there. Friendly helpful staff

Great staff and great service. Manuel is fantastic and was also helpful with my laundry. Good convenience and location. A little tough to sleep sometimes cuz of road traffic but I didn't have my earplugs so that would've helped. Overall a great deal for the traveler.

This was a great place to stay. The breakfast was excellent. The manager was very helpful He was resourceful and helped us organize tours efficiently. The only negative was that I found the bed to be a little hard and uncomfortable.

The best thing about this property is that it is family owned, and all family members are extremely friendly and helpful. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable in the space. The brother runs a music school next door (with super cute little kids taking lessons), the sister owns the restaurant, and the mother helps out with breakfast in the morning. Emmanuel in particular was extremely helpful and kind. Other positive aspects of this property are: it’s very close to town, and you can walk to most restaurants. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, along with coffee and tea so you can help yourself whenever you want during the day. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was strong. Overall, I would recommend staying here!

Many of the staff were related and they were extremely helpful and informative. I found Emmanuel particularly helpful.The location was good, both because of proximity to village of Santa Elena, and also because of the excellent restaurant on site. Emmanuel's sister cooked.
