The place was very old, but budget friendly. You can hear everything that you neighbors are up to. There is a shared kitchen next to the office/reception - you can use them between 8 am to 9 pm. Very close to city center and walking distance to restaurants and groceries. Parking is also very easy.

Perfect Stay in Monteverde!

Perfect place in Monteverde. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable and clean, parking is right in front and it’s a 3 minute walk to most restaurants and stores. Staff were very friendly and easy going. Very minor thing but you can sometimes hear road noise - but all solved with some ear plugs!

The staff is very friendly and kind. Breakfast was good as well. It is also relatively cheap. It was a bit noisy, and the property looks a bit dated and not that well maintained.

It was quiet and peaceful for the most part until near midnight. A red vehicle kept coming around and even clipped my rental vehicle while parked. They were rowdy and loud. The scenery was beautiful.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay here. The hotel is close to everything, including shopping, dining, grocery stores, different activities, and more. Parking is in front of the room. We had a deck on the back with partial views of the mountains. The kitchette was convenients with a small fridge, microwave and some dishes, utensils, etc. The only downside (for those who like to sleep in) is there is a garage next door/underneath the building. For those who care to sleep in, this could be an issue on some mornings. We were up early, so it was not an issue for us.

We'd stay here again!

This is a fabulous little place! Very conveniently walking distance to the center of Santa Elena, and not as noisy as we feared, being so close to the "highway". Our room had a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker as well as all the dishes and utensils we might need, and there was a full kitchen at our disposal in the office next to us. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. The view was spectacular from our suite, although I imagine it's not so great from most of them. There is an auto mechanic shop right behind the hotel, so it can be a bit noisy during the day.

The room was large with a kitchen of sorts and a good TV. The location was good but there was a car repair service fixing cars under my balcony one early morning. The walls were thin between the rooms The manager was okay but offered no real information just answered my questions. He annoyingly gave me the wrong number for the taxi service. The place was okay but not good value. .

I'm so grateful my brother and I stayed at Cabinas Selva Verde. Our host was incredibly helpful, sharing there contact info with us, providing advice and ultimately driving us to the airport when the shuttle driver cancelled last minute. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped with kitchen utensils such as plates, a sponge and rice cooker. There towels and soap provided.The view from the front and the back balcony were spectacular. We enjoyed watching the clouds move around fron the comfort of our bed. The Super Compro grocery store was a short walk from the hotel. We were able to save a lot of money making some of our meals. There were also several nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Cabinas Selva Verde should not be missed when staying in Monteverde because of the incredible host, location and ammentities. Also, the price is very reasonable considering the quality of service provided and overall experience.

Clean and close to town. It’s walkable, but up a fairly steep hill for the first part of the walk to town. Hot shower. Had to use two dining chairs in the bathroom as shelves to put things on. There are 4-5 towel hooks that are okay. Step down into bathroom. Could clearly hear talking in rooms below, even with the strong wind, at night. Also could hear one neighbor on the same level talking when trying to sleep. The plastic chairs and the table chairs are fairly uncomfortable for sitting for a meal or playing games. The staff is very helpful. The rooms were clean, and the beds were firm but comfortable.

Bad experience

Small bugs everywhere and it felt like the whole bed was moving and infected. Didn’t look anything like the pictures and there was a hole to the other room, so everything could be heard. Very bad experience

Accueil sympathique, mais la chambre ne bénéficie pas de fenêtre sur l’ extérieur. Nous avons été déçus. Le lit n’était pas confortable et l’hygiène à revoir . Par contre il y a un parking petit déjeuner est bien fait Maison et la localisation est centrale
