Monte Altare

Fantastic hotel! Located very conveniently to so many great spots. The family room was ideal four our family of four with two teenagers. The staff was incredibly kind and the bar was beautiful. Highly recommend

The check-in process was efficient. I requested an early check-in, and although my room wasn’t ready when I arrived, the staff kept me updated and escorted me to my room as soon as it was available. The front desk, baggage attendant, and maintenance team were all friendly and helpful. The hotel has two buildings: a main building and an annex. The décor fits the Venetian atmosphere well, but my Classic Room was small with lower ceilings than many nearby hotels. If you book a Classic Room, don’t expect a canal view, and be prepared to use stairs, especially in the annex. Unfortunately, I found a roach on the headboard next to where I had been sleeping, which was very unsettling. The staff responded quickly and moved me to another room in the annex. Although I was worried about additional pest issues, I didn’t see any more roaches during the rest of my stay. Still, the experience made it difficult to fully enjoy my vacation. The hotel could also benefit from updates to the furniture, bathrooms, and paint. I truly appreciated the professionalism and kindness of the staff, but the cleanliness issue had a significant impact on my overall experience.
