Perfect hotel. Very close ( 10 minutes walk) to the centre of Mons. Amazing service from reception staff. Room was ultra clean and a very comfy bed . Certainly recommend and a good price.

The Van Der Valk Mons Congress hotel is modern, clean, and has very nice rooms, restaurant, bar, gym, spa, and meeting rooms. The location is great. A huge modern train station is across the street that provides rail connections to anywhere in Europe. On the other side of the train station is historic old downtown Mons with shops, restaurants, and historic buildings to see. And a huge modern shopping mall with nice restaurants and stores is only a 10-minute walk away. It is the best place to stay in Mons.

Really nice new hotel, perfect location for Mons and if you have a car Pairi Daiza. Very nice new rooms and all the staff were lovely. Only downside was that the toilet is in its own separate room with no sink meaning you had to go to another room to wash your hands. But besides this quirk a great stay.

Comfortable rooms

Good standard hotel in calms surroundings with short walk to Grand Place. Comfortable bed. Gym closes early on weekends, which is a minus. No access to sauna but to a lukewarm splashing pool and a small yakuze which is busy most of the time.

I'm moving out of my apartment in Mons so stayed in the Van der Valk for a couple of nights, we could only book a business suite, room 426. Very nice large room, jacuzzi bath and a balcony with good views of mons city. We had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar but dined at the ikea in grand pres lol Local knowledge saves money! The centre of town is across the railway line and up the hill. Will be easier to access once the new station opens. Overall i'd recommend the Van der Valk as best hotel in Mons

Very average

I preferred the one in Amsterdam. I found the pool and hot tub to be a bit disappointing. Sauna was also an extra charge and look very small. Tv was small and the Wi-Fi was very restrictive. Room looks a bit dated. The bed was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep, hotel staff were all very professional and friendly.

Have stayed in a number of Mons hotels whilst i vacated my apartment in the town. This included 2 stays at the van der valk during October 2024. This time in room 103 for a week, nice big clean room, shower only. Very convenient for getting to my apartment and into the centre of town. Didn't use parking or breakfast. IKEA is 10 mins walk away and do a hot breakfast for a few euros. Also 10 mins walk to cafes etc. Van der Valk is easily best hotel in Mons, happy to recommend

There was human feces on the shower towel. I asked reception to replace this and they did no,t nor did they bring a new towel to the room when requested. Asked for a manger, none came. Also go food poising from the resteraunt.

June 2024 for a total of 10 nights. Hotel was clean. The only issue with the housekeepers that each time they cleaned the room they would forget to put back some items: i.e. water and coffee, plastic cups, soap, or and sugar. The other issue was the parking in the garage. Sometimes there was no parking available (this was a part of the room charge). I went to the front desk to ask about this and asked to speak to a manager whose name is Neil W. His response was “first come first served” there is no distinction for parking whether it is a hotel quest, a restaurant only guest etc. He never asked for my name or room number and did not apologize for this. What I do not understand is that the staff takes up a good amount of parking spaces in the garage as well. They put champagne in the room but did not put the price - was told to call the front desk for that information.

Have stayed at this hotel many times since 2017, was in room 211 this time. As always the room was great, large size with a big shower. Now the new railway station is open its a quick walk through to the town centre. Very handy for the flibco bus to charleroi airport, the bus stops right outside
