Waterfront period house

  • An elegant period house, on the waterfront in Monkstown, Cork. 20 minutes drive from Cork City and airport. Not quite "Sitting at the Dock of the Bay" but close. Chillax or not, that is the question ? Lovely leisurely local walks, on the Greenway old rail line, throw your canoe or paddle board over the wall (tidal). Perfect base for nearby attractions and activities, Fota Wildlife Park / House/ Adventure, Spike Island/ Fort Camden, Funkytown, cross river ferry to Cobh heritage town.
    Built in 1842 retaining many original features.
    Bright and airy, large rooms, high ceilings. The kitchen/ living room is in the basement with atmospheric log burning stove, lower ceiling here, access to split level back yard/garden/ back lane parking space.
