Built in 2021, this cabin is a hidden gem at the base of Jack's Mountain on Penns Creek, a premier trout stream in central Pennsylvania. The cabin is on a stocked section with immediate access to the creek via a set of stairs. Fly Away Cabin is near an Orvis fly shop and has nearby access to snowmobile, four-wheeler and horse trails in a state park about 2 miles uphill from the cabin. 30 minutes from Bucknell University. 35 minutes from Susquehanna University. 1 hour from Penn State. The cabin is quiet, secluded, and away from city lights.

This was the perfect home base for our annual mother-daughter trip. The cabin felt big with the tall ceilings and well equipped with all the essentials. We enjoyed hikes nearby and at RB Winter State Park.

Fishing Weekend in May

Fishing was not the best due to high water but we made the best of it. The cabin was in a nice location and very well maintained. Inside was well kept up and clean. Amenities were as described.

This property was absolutely fantastic! Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Mike was great to talk to about the property and surrounding areas. I took my husband to fish for his birthday and Mike called to make sure we were ok and to even tell us where the best spots were to fish! I would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome Penns Creek rental

This awesome cabin was an ideal location for 3 days of fishing on Penns Creek. Quiet, clean and comfortable for my some and I. The host was incredibly helpful in booking, answering questions during our stay and flexible with the check out process. Can’t say enough about the place!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We stayed at the cabin for the weekend since it was close to our daughters’ softball tournament. The cabin was clean and beautiful and the perfect spot to rest after a long day in the sun. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Short fishing stay

The cabin was all one could ask for and then plus that. Great atmosphere and pretty good fishing right of the steps in the creek. Communication with property manager was top notch. Highly recommend you to come stay here and relax.

Tranquility

Fly Away was awesome! So clean, comfortable, peaceful. Listening to the stream and sitting on the porch with nature doesn’t get any better. Michael was great with communicating as well. I would highly recommend Fly Away to anyone wanting peace and quiet and to just be.

Relaxing!!!

So quiet and serene! The cabin is lovely, the woodwork throughout is gorgeous. Both of us commented, "we could live here". The cabin was well appointed, but to be honest...we spent most of our time outside. Great sitting areas to view Penns creek. fishing, tubing, swimming, wildlife watching... couldn't ask for a more perfect spot! We had a small family picnic at the pavilion on the property. Gas grill and fire pit were used during our stay. We would recommend Fly Away. Relax and Restore!
