This cosy holiday home is located only a few minutes away from Middelburg centre. Downstairs there is a spacious living room with an open kitchen, equipped with all modern conveniences. In the conservatory is the dining room, which leads to the garden. The first (children's) bedroom has a single bed. The master bedroom is very spacious and has a double bed. The bathroom has a spacious shower cabin, toilet and washbasin. The third large bedroom has been created in the attic, with a double bed
Middelburg is the capital of the province of Zeeland in the south-west of the Netherlands. The city has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, and it is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. Middelburg has a beautiful historic centre. There are beautiful buildings, narrow streets and several canals that criss-cross the city. A cruise through these canals offers a unique perspective of the city. It is lovely to stroll through the old streets and admire the architecture. For example, the city hall, an imposing building from the late Gothic period.
The abbey tower, known as the Lange Jan, is a striking tower that dominates Middelburg's skyline. The Abbey houses the Zeeuws Museum, where you can find an impressive collection highlighting the history of Zeeland. Well worth a visit! Besides the Zeeuws Museum, there are other interesting museums in Middelburg, such as the Maritiem MuZEEum, where you can learn more about the maritime history of Zeeland.
The bustling heart of the city is, of course, the market square. Great fun to visit the market and buy delicious local products; enjoy the atmosphere and the delicacies Zeeland has to offer. Besides the markets, there are also regular events and festivals. These range from cultural events to local celebrations and offer a chance to experience the vibrancy of the city.
