Strand Condo - Ocean Dr

This condo was super clean, safe and literally steps away from EVERYTHING South Beach. The manager of the condo is very communicative and available when needed. I gave 5 stars bc was much deserved. We had an amazing time and will hopefully return in the future. Again, if you want to be in the middle of all the action, then this condo is the way to go.

Spring Break for Seniors

We wanted a place in South Beach where we would not need a car. We are young seniors in good shape so we wanted to walk and ride bikes. Lee’s place was perfect. Nice condo on ocean ave. We walked or biked every morning, had good to great meals and so much fun. The beach is across the street. There were lots of kids and a big police presence over the weekend. No trouble at all. We were disappointed that the pool was on The roof of a building next door but it turned out fine. I think we will go back.

Visiting Son in Miami Beach

Our stay was very pleasant. The apartment was clean and roomy. We had a view of the ocean and it was very conveniently located right across from the beach. My only hesitation is that the neighborhood along the beach is fairly noisy and we occasionally had nighttime noise. But overall we enjoyed staying there very much.

Thank you for your review....Ocean Drive between 1st and 15th Street are avery busy areas and open very late...so there will always be street noise in this area...but this apartment is dfinitely is quiter than most hotel and apartments with a view...rather than those without any view.

I had the pleasure of spending a week at the Miami Beach, and let me tell you, it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the sheer beauty and luxury of this vacation rental. First things first, the location is truly unbeatable. Situated right on the pristine shores of Miami Beach, the view from the rental was nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up every morning to the sight and sound of the ocean was a dream come true. The location to the beach was incredibly convenient, allowing me to effortlessly go from my cozy abode to the warm sands in mere minutes. The property management team deserves a special mention for their outstanding service. From the moment I inquired about the rental to the day I checked out, they were always available and attentive to my needs. Any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed, making me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. In terms of convenience, the rental is perfectly situated. It's within walking distance of some of Miami Beach's best restaurants, bars, and shops, so I never had to go far to find something entertaining to do. And when I did want to explore further, the property's central location made it easy to access other parts of the city.

I had been a frequent visitor to South Beach from 1997 to 2005 and wanted to be overwhelmed with music and the amazing street vibe. I was hoping to be reconnected, but I have calmer expectations in regards to my downtime than I did when I was in my 20s. That amazing vibe is still there, but the noise does not filter upward to this property because of its location. Surprisingly, we didn’t even hear the people staying on our floor once we were inside. This surpassed our expectations. In regard to safety, I felt very secure with the systems in place. The instructions are also very clear and posted on the door. The working staff at the hotel does not manage the condo properties in this building directly, but they were extremely helpful with suggestions and holding our luggage as our flight left a few hours after check-out. I will be back soon!

Great Location and amenities - could use some upgrades

Stayed in D305. Pros of this property: *Prime location right in the Art Deco district *Good price for location *Lots of nightlife going on and things to do everywhere *Free trolley takes you all over - you only have to go up one block to catch it. Will take you to grocery stores, etc. *Bike path right in front of property that runs the length of South Beach right outside the door *Right across the street from the beach *Access to rooftop pool *D building, room facing the side street was pretty quiet at night, but if you stay in the C building, you will be right over the Palace bar that does a loud drag show every hour and right under the rooftop pool that plays loud music as well. *Air conditioning worked well. *Easy check-in/out *Elevator Cons of this property: *Pictures look better than actual property, even though it was overall in good condition. Couch was very worn, for example. *Tub very hard to get in and out of - very high sides - had to be very careful. *Shower had to be turned all the way up to hot and left running for several minutes to get hot, and then you had to turn it back down and wait another minute or two for it to not be scalding hot before getting in. *Sliding doors that separate the bedroom from the bathroom don't close all the way. *Room needs blackout curtains. Light-colored, fairly sheer curtains allowed for not only the sun but the flood light they put on the street at night for some reason to shine brightly in. *No laundry in the condo.

Lieu idéal pour miami beach et plage

Lee est un hôte très réactif, avant et pendant le séjour. Appartement conforme à l'annonce. Logement pas adapté si on recherche le calme, mais c'est le cas pour tous les logements à proximité de ocean drive. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé même avec un enfant de 5ans.

Perfect location!!

This is the best place to stay in Southbeach! I have been to Southbeach several times, and this location has by far been the best! You are close to everything, food, entertainment, and the beach! We literally walked to everything we needed. This made it great because most places charge you for your vehicle and we did not need one. Check-in was easy and the owner was always available if needed. The location is directly across the street from the beach and across the street from the Versace Gianni house. I will definitely return!

Miami Beach Art Deco

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. Great location across street from beach. Next door to old Versace mansion. Recommend making reservation and going to dinner at the restaurant in the Versace mansion. Unit was quiet, but with easy access to numerous restaurants and night time activities. Unit was clean with comfortable bedding. Great communication with owner.

Absolutely amazing location. Super walkable and right across the street from South Beach. I was a little worried about whether we would hear a lot of noise from the street at night but the apartment we were in faced the Versace Mansion and was very quiet. The property is well kept and clean. The rooftop was incredible and we spent a lot of time up there enjoying the views and the ambiance. Food and drink are available for purchase, though pricey. The owner was very communicative and responsive. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Great Location in Art Deco/Club District

This is one of two properties owned by the host. We initially chose the one above a night club, but the host recommended that we consider the one just to the north on Ocean Dr. We are glad we switched. The suggested unit was next to the night club, but not above it. We did not hear the club from the new location. In earlier posts, there were comments about the elevator not working, This problem was due to a delay in getting the part. This was fixed a few days after our arrival. There also were complaints about the odor of garbage. The stairway was just repainted and clean. (Note that the access to the unit is in a passageway between buildings). The building backs up to an alley where dumpsters are located. There was an aroma of dumpsters in the passageway, but this is not related to anything the owner or front desk can control. We found the unit "broom clean" and cooled. A couple of days into our stay, the building a/c went out. This was reported to the front desk and the owner. Both front desk and owner responded quickly, and it was fixed the same day. The rental unit worked well for us for a week-long stay. If you've never been to South Beach, you need to know that parking is a challenge. We found a garage close to the unit that had in/out privileges for $40/day. That is not bad for the convenience. Also, the clubs let out at 3 am and street noises increase when clubs let out. We give the host 5 stars and the accommodations 4 star (just because we had a 12 year old).

Thank you....and to avoid possible confusion, this guest had originally booked another apertment above a noisy bar and I recommended that they change their booking to this apartment because it is significantly quiter.

Nice clean place. Just right and what we were looking for. Location is very convenient. Located in the heart of all the action and just a few steps away from the beach. Loved the view from the rooftop pool. Plenty of towels and even has beach chairs. Felt very accommodated and safe. Thank you for hosting our stay! Would definitely book again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on south beach.

Best location

This place was exactly as advertised, and in the best spot on South Beach! The view was amazing, check in was a breeze, the entire building felt safe for us girls as you needed to scan your key card at multiple areas to get in. Perfect space for 4 people. Lee was quick to respond and help with anything we needed. Definitely staying again!!

The location was perfect. The Condo itself was super comfortable and amazingly soundproof. Loved the Rooftop pool and bar. The complex is actually 3 separate buildings and the staff from all 3 of them were helpful and friendly. I would book it again in the future if I come back to Miami Beach.

Great location

Comfortable and convenient. Owner communicated well and helped find parking options. Front desk corrected reservation quickly. Smokey or unpleasant smell sometimes filtered in from other units, but overall good experience for a short stay with two people. Perfect location for walking everything on the beach.

We enjoyed our stay everything was perfect! The only thing that wouldve made it better would be if there was a laundry facility in building we can use. Besides that, u loved being right across the beach!

Exactly what you should expect from SoBe!

Prime location for everything that South Beach has to offer! You'll be right in the middle of all the action. This isn't a place to stay for a quiet weekend. You're on Ocean Drive, so the nightclubs and restaurants are merely steps away, and you will hear all the action until early in the morning. But that is NOT a complaint! It what you should expect, its not an inconvenience if you're out with everyone until those early morning hours! The apartment itself is perfect. Very clean and has everything you could need. The bed is incredibly comfortable! The bathroom and shower is clean and everything works perfectly. And, this is important, the shower pressure is really good! That matters when you are showering off the sand from the beach that is directly across the street! If there was any complaint I could come up with, it would be that the lighting in the bathroom is probable too low. It did seem like I was showering in a dimly lit room, but that was such a minor thing, I wouldn't even give it a considerations. I'll be staying here on my next trip to Miami Beach, without a doubt!

Terrible experience

I came here with my cousin from Germany and were looking forward to our weekend stay. Upon arrival we were met with a strong odor in the building which was the least of the problems. Inside the curtains had rust stains all over them, the sliding doors were filthy, the ceilings had mold like stains and the pull out couch was a disaster. It was slanted and caved in with metal springs falling out of it along with hair everywhere! The linen definitely was not clean. It states it can sleep five people, no way! Not to mention how loud the fridge was especially when trying to sleep. I would not recommend this listing to anybody! I was so embarrassed to have my cousin stay here, never again. I have pictures that do not match the pictures on the listing when I file a dispute.

Although the apartment has been a great value and location for most who have stayed here over the past 10 years, it was unfortunate that in the 2 months prior to this guest's arrival I was unable to make the needed renovations that had already been planned. Since the guest's departure, the Curtains have been replaced; a new King Bed, King Mattress, Night Tables and 2 Smart TVs have been added. The Sofa Bed has been replaced with a new one; and numerous other upgrades have been made as well. My apologies for the inability to coordinate the renovations prior to the guest arrival.

Heart of South Beach

We rented this unit for ten days while we were attending the world championship j24 regatta in coconut Grove. The unit is convenient to all of Miami. The access to the beach and all that SOBE has to offer was great while still being quiet. I think that is unique. The views are pleasant. Lee was easy to communicate with and always replied promptly. I would recommend this unit with out hesitation.

Great place in the middle of all the action.

The condo was very spacious and clean. It was in a fabulous location!! The roof top pool and bar was great. It wasn't busy during the day so we had the place to ourselves until early afternoon. The check in process was a little confusing but once we found the lobby it was a smooth process.
