This is a wannabe elite resort that fails. The place feels claustrophobic as the hotel rooms surround all of the restaurants and the pool. The beachfront is tiny compared to elite resorts. At the steakhouse, once seated, we were ignored for 30 minutes before I had to flag someone down, even though other tables arrived after us and were served first. The hostess was simply awful. She brought us the wrong drinks, didn't bring menus, and ignored us when we tried to talk to her multiple times. The horrible treatment from her and other staff forced us to leave without eating. We reported this ill-treatment to the front desk and were promised that the manager would contact us. He or she never did. Only after we left the resort early did any management staff talk to us. One day, we returned to our room and the door was open. No one was in the room, and we feared we had been robbed. We reported the incident and heard nothing. The next day, I asked the cleaning lady if she left the door open; she blamed someone else. We felt unsafe after that, not just for our belongings (which included a laptop), but for our personal safety. No one ever addressed the issue with us. We had a few other unpleasant experiences, and after four days (we were booked for eight), we left and booked at Sandals Barbados. They asked me to sign a departure form just to let them know we were leaving. In a deceptive fashion, they now claim the form waived my redress claim. Awful, deceptive people.

Everyone from Ambassador John, Javon, Georgianna, TJ, Natalie, Jody, Robin, Paul, Carolann, Cale, and all the rest I couldn’t remember, this resort and it’s staff are the best of the best and made for an incredible stay. Ambassador John showed me around the beaches of the island and I got to meet his great friends, Cale took me to the airport at the end of the trip in his own vehicle when the taxi didn’t show up. Javon went to town on his own dime and bought a diver’s bouy and flag I paid him for, Jody and the housekeeping crew were superb, Robin, TJ, Paul, Carolann, Georgianna were all excellent waiters and waitresses, everyone was super kind and welcoming and I won’t forget this wonderful trip to O2 Beach House and Spa.
