"Itp was great "

"This hotel is incredible! The property itself is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous and clean. The restaurants on the grounds are amazing, and reasonably priced for in-house dining. The food for room service is also delicious! My wife and I ate at Collin’s for dinner and Preston’s for breakfast twice and each time was better than the last. The check-in and checkout process was so easy and the staff was there for anything you needed. The valet process was extremely easy, and the staff for valet were excellent. The only complaint and reason I am not giving 5 stars is that it was VERY loud at night. I could hear every car drive by all throughout the night. I normally wouldn’t say anything because I understand the Miami nightlife is loud, but I believe the sound could have been muffled if the windows were better in the rooms. "

"Location is everything and the Penguin provides exactly that. You are just steps away from the beach, right at Lummus Park and Ocean Drive, but without the noise of all the restaurants on Ocean Drive. The staff is very nice. The rooms, especially the bathrooms are small. Most rooms will not have a view. However, the rooms are clean and provide everything you need to rest up at night before going back outside to enjoy everything South Beach Miami has to offer. The AC units are a bit older and noisy, something that could be improved on, as well as the shelf right above the sink, which should be moved to the other side. Additional areas to hang wet clothes or towels would be nice too. The bedding was simple but clean. A headboard would have been nice and could spruce up the room instantly. The pool area provides a nice view of downtown Miami. It’s not big but if you want a pool, they got one. The Penguin is nothing fancy but was exactly what we needed during our stay, affordable, right at the beach, watching sunrises every morning with only a few steps to the beach and in walking distance to all the hot spots. We were happy with our decision to stay at the Penguin."

"Great stay for a quick trip to South Beach. We were cruising the next day so we just stayed for one night. Close to nightlife. Clean room. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Worth the quick trip. "

"A phenomenal experience, thanks to Lorenzo!!!!!!!! Lorenzo made us feel welcomed and answered our every question and request at this wonderfully perfect resort in the best location in Miami! He also let our daughter pick out a toy from the toy chest which she got an absolute kick out of!! Thank you to Lorenzo and your entire team. If you’re looking for a high end place to stay in Miami with beautiful views and walking distance to great restaurants, this one is perfect for you."

"I'll start with the good then the terrible. Great locations, friendly staff, views, beach access. Terrible.. They put me in an ocean front room that had two small windows, then corrected it. Toilet would not flush the whole trip! maintenance had to constantly return to plunge it, Fire Alarm went off in our room and the staff was not even aware! my wife went down 4 flights of stairs in a bath robe for them to tell her her no Big deal, probably your shower water was too hot. when the maintenance guy came in to turn off the blinking F/A strobes he continually laughed and said "it's no big Deal" to my wife while she was still humiliated! from running down in a robe to a lobby full of guests having a good time thinking she as crazy. No Privacy! On 3 occasions staff walked in our room (knocked while they had already opened door) once wife was nude, once I was in bed the man walked in and said "Oh Sh*!" and walked out, no apology, we never knew why people kept trying to come in to our room, Our stay did not feel safe and clearly the place needs a visit from the local fire marshal. After we complained multiple times, manager Noura S. offered us a compilatory drink for our inconveniences. Place is a Great location, with the price tag I expected much more. "

"This hotel damaged my property, and when I asked for help, they simply shut the doors and did nothing to help me. This is absolutely awful. The worst experience ever."

"Hotel was clean but outdated, and the room had a musty smell maybe from the AC. We liked the close access to the beach which included two beach chairs & an umbrella at no extra cost. They do offer a breakfast/ lunch buffet but I found it costly. For the price of one night I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels."
