On my recent trips to the Miami area, I have preferred La Quinta Inn hotels because they offer excellent prices in good locations and have nice rooms.
However, on this last occasion, I noticed significant declines in the facilities and room cleanliness. Upon arriving in the room, I initially thought it looked clean, but at night, cockroaches appeared. When I checked under the beds, I discovered dust and trash that had accumulated for weeks. Additionally, daily cleaning is not performed, and guests need to request it at the reception. When I inquired about this, I was told it was a policy dating back to the pandemic. This didn’t make much sense to me, especially since I wasn’t informed upon arrival, and cleaning was only done on the third day.
Another observation I have is that my request for an accessible room was not taken into account. I had requested this when making the reservation through Expedia. Instead, I received a room on the fifth floor without a disabled-friendly bathroom and far from the elevators. As for breakfast, it seemed appropriate, so I would give a good rating in that regard."
