The property is in a great location in Roma Norte and you can walk many places - it’s a very safe neighborhood. The front desk staff are friendly. The only issue is checking in as you communicate through What’s App and the person may or may not be there. You can leave your luggage in the main entrance while the room gets prepared - just don’t leave valuables as the front door is wide open at times. The rooms are modern, large and very clean. There are water filters for drinking water which is excellent. The roof top is beautiful to relax - the pool could be cleaner. Overall an excellent place with wonderful staff

Wonderful property in a a great location, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staff were available 24/7 at the front desk, which helped us to feel safe and the ladies working answered any questions we had. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed (utensils, glassware, cookware, etc). Would definitely stay again!

Es un lugar excelente para hospedarse. Cuenta con todos los servicios necesarios y es muy silencio por la noche, lo cual te permite dormir sin problema a pesar de que se encuentra en una zona concurrida. Omg we loved this property! Our hosts Abel and Priscilla were amazing and hospitable. Everything was cleaned, great restaurants and bars around, the neighborhood is amazing. Definitely would stay again!!! We can’t wait to come back!!!

The staff was great. The building was secure as the staff was there 24/7 to let guests into the building. However, I would not stay here as a female traveler. The key codes for the rooms are not secure and there is no deadbolt once you are in the room. Our room was also loud, you could hear everything in the lobby area as well as outside on the street. The room we had was not swept well and there was food in the kitchen sink.

Tonala by Mr W is absolutely wonderful. Located in Roma Norte the property is close to many wonderful places to eat, have drinks and get groceries. It is also close to many interesting shops and access to public transportation. The 2 bedroom suite is contemporary, clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. The roof top is a nice place to relax. A great place to stay!

A member of our group was robbed by gunpoint on the sidewalk right in front of the hotel. Literally just feet from the front door. As we had extreme safety concerns, we did not end up completing our stay at this property and we actually flew back early. Since then, the hotel has been avoiding any contact since. First, we have asked about receiving any security footage (the hotel cameras are right above where the event occurred). This request has been dismissed. They sent us a picture still of my friend speaking to the police, but not of the event itself. They ignored any further requests. Second, I contacted Expedia about receiving a refund as we had extreme safety concerns that prevented us from staying at the property. Expedia has attempted to contact the hotel on four separate occasions, but the hotel has not responded to one of those attempts to contact. I’ve been told by Expedia that they cannot issue the refund unless they gain approval from the hotel. I am sure you can guess as to my frustration with that response, especially considering the above.
