Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff was responsive, housekeeping was very very attentive and polite. The room was clean and the location was perfect for a relaxed stay in Mexico city. All the things you need at walking distance and plenty of dining options for all types of budgets. It's true what they say about the AC though, the room was warm and it wasn't possible to regulate the temperature. The AC system is LOUD and dated, you can get used to how noisy it is, at least I did, but it'll be a problem if you're noise sensitive at night.
At first they put me in a room where I could hear all my neighbors, so I asked to be moved and they placed me in another wing that was much more quiet. The internet was soso, and the room was small, but clean, and had everything I needed. There is no coffee maker or fridge in the room, so I had to improvise, but overall it was fine. Overall I don’t believe the hotel deserves more than 3 stars, but it’s very well located and has lots of restaurants, shops, and cafes around. Close to the Angel of Freedom, from where tour buses go everywhere.
The property details say that it has 24 hour shuttle service to the airport. IT DOESN’T
They upgraded my room because of this but still the room was small and had a hard mattress which seems like the norm in Mexico. It was still nice but unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower when I tried in the morning. Not a way you want to start your day while traveling
Nice place and convenient to Zona Rosa, and an easy Uber ride to most of the city. Staff is mostly friendly, but they have an absurd rule that charges you about 250 pesos if you bring a visitor to your room, even for a visit during the day! I hired a massage provider to come to my room during the day, and the clerk wouldn't let her in unless I paid this stupid fee. It was embarrassing and poor customer service to nickel and dime like that. I've traveled the world and never before discovered such a policy. They guy even confirmed he would charge the same fee if my buddy and I took a couple Coronas up to the room to hang out. How stupid!
