Elisabeth and Guy (local press correspondents, perfect ambassadors for their region and its history) welcome you to a fully renovated 1950s Morvan-style house, typical of the 1950s, nestled on the roadside at the edge of a picturesque little village with old-world charm (a designated Cluniac site). The surrounding area is beautiful, nestled in a verdant valley where a fish-filled river flows, at the foot of a south-facing hill overlooking a vast plateau of fields and pastures (home to the famous and peaceful Charolais cows in season). Located in the heart of the Morvan Regional Natural Park and its magnificent, perfectly preserved countryside (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna), this sublime landscape of gentle mountains combines agriculture and nature, between hedged meadows, rivers, and vast wild forests (accessible just a stone's throw away), perfect for relaxing walks or bike rides. Comfortable cottage. A charming, rustic, and vintage country style that offers a complete change of scenery. A pleasant, enclosed, flower-filled courtyard (gravel) features a large, naturally shaded terrace under a lovely linden tree, offering beautiful, unobstructed views of the meadows and the gentle surrounding countryside, with the famous "Signal d'Uchon" mountain ("the Pearl of the Morvan") in the background. Guests have access to the owners' large, well-maintained lawn and landscaped grounds (1500m²) nestled behind the house (a perfect, safe play area for children). Composition: The cottage is attached to the owners' residence (completely independent). Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Heat pump heating. Air conditioning. Typical Morvan house from the "50s" renovated into a gentle holiday home with "vintage" charm, nestled on the edge of the picturesque little village of Mesvres ("Cluniac Site"), 4 km from the market town of Etang-sur-Arroux (numerous amenities including a small supermarket) & 14 km from Autun, labeled "City of Art & History", historic "Rome relay" in the heart of Burgundy, rich in 2000 years of human presence (literally exceptional heritage & all amenities on site). A sublime, preserved environment of nature and greenery, nestled in the heart of the verdant Mevsrin valley, a soothing, gentle mountain of wooded bocage meadows (largely protected as a ZNIEFF), a stone's throw from vast wild forests, at the foot of the Uchon massif and its renowned summit of the "Signal d'Uchon" ("the Pearl of the Morvan" located 10 km away, a classified natural site), not far from the famous Mont Beuvray (protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich ecosystems, occupied at its summit by the renowned "oppidum" of Bibracte, an ancient fortified Gallic town, one of the best preserved with its ramparts and districts extending over 200 ha) as well as the territory of the "Great Lakes of the Morvan". A prime location, not far from the Romanesque churches circuit, on the legendary GTMC (Grande Traversée du Massif Central) mountain bike route, "natural" footpaths, and a marked "greenway" (a vast network of similar hiking and mountain biking trails in the area), 4 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône-et-Loire by bike), 5 km from the GR131 (connected to the GR13 as well as the renowned GRP "Grand Tour du Morvan"), 14 km from a signposted cycling route serving the Morvan Regional Natural Park ("Itinérance verte en Autunois-Morvan"), 16 km from the "Morvan to Vineyards" Green Way, 27 km from the Canal du Centre Green Way (adjacent to the EuroVelo 6 cycle route as well as the "Tour de Bourgogne à vélo"), and about 40 km from the first vineyards of the Couchois region (adjacent to the famous Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune) & the "Route des Grands Vins" which extends the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" (crossing the mythical wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault…). In the heart of the Autunois, a sumptuous territory steeped in history, traditions, legends & mysteries, rich in a very rare historical heritage as well as grandiose landscapes, at the crossroads of the Nièvre and the Côte d'Or, 19 km from the renowned Paldenshangpa Buddhist temple, 20 km from Le Creusot (renowned Combes amusement park / Creusot TGV station 28 km away), 21 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte, labeled "Grand Site de France", 26 km from the departure station of the "Vélorail du Morvan" (22 km of unusual ride in the heart of nature), 41 km from the medieval town of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of the most beautiful sites in Burgundy with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 43 km from the medieval town of Nolay (& its lake) and 49 km from the famous Lac des Settons.
