"This is a beautiful, very well maintained property externally. Really pretty, with immaculate grounds and golf course. That being said, we did experience some issues duting our three night stay: 1. Our room wasn't cleaned in that tine 2. The food in the bar was not good at all. We showed and mentioned the way the chicken wings we had been chosen as a starter had been served with laughably dry, goodness knows how old cartots and celery as crudites accompaniments and knew when the server said she would mention it to the kitchen she really wouldn't... 3.The salad I had was served in a plastic container and worse than one bought from a cheap supermarket. It was awful. There was an immeasurable discrepancy between the restaurant food qualuty and that provide in the bar, although both were from the same kitchen! "

"The facility was OK. We never met any staff, looks like they are operating remote. We paid $175 per night, this is pricey for a place like this. This is a place in the middle of no where, hotel does not have any amenities like breakfast, or snacks and built on unpaved dirt site, felt $175 was expensive. "

"The property was further off the beaten path than I expected and about 30ish mins from terlingua. The property was as pictured on the site. The door was hard to open and shut to the room with the digital lock. The room was clean and cutely decorated. The coffee machine was kind of like a nespresso machine which was nice. We had a great view of the mountains. The exterior shell is more like a tarp so with the wind it was decently noisy at night. The bath house was probably the least pleasing part. With it being a coed bathroom the only locked doors are the toilets. The showers are open with just a curtain where someone could walk in if the wanted. The sink was leaking really badly and the shower handle fell off and wasn’t attached. There’s only one sink and two toilets and two showers. We didn’t have to wait for the facilities. There’s no bath and bodywork’s products as listed in the advertisement. There are disposable shower shoes. You can’t flush toilet paper down and the waste basket wasn’t emptied the whole weekend we were there. Kinda gross. Overall it was a good place but there were closer places to big bend park that are similar and there’s no food or stores within about 30 mins so you should come prepared. We had a decent time staying here. There were games in the room, extra chargers if you need one, water machine in the room. We didn’t try to grill, firepit or popcorn machine but they were available if needed. "

"Super clean and bug free room (which I really appreciated). They truly take care of their guests. With so much to do in town its the vest spot to walk around. Their taqueria and cafe are amazinggggg. Cant get over the horchata.! The views all day anyday just so beautiful. The directions arent hard to follow its just left of the cafe and up! Super easy. Amazing check in and check out process. And great amenities within the property. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!! Definitely wish I spent more time there….so I will be back. ;)"

"This is our second time at Casa Mariposa. The place is Terlingua funky and eclectic. But also very comfotable, clean, upgraded with everything you need. And the views from sitting on the patio are beautiful looking into the mountains. "
