Beautiful little hotel shared with the Museu hotel. We had a side balcony overlooking the river, pool and terrace. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the town. I would totally recommend this hotel.

Buena relación calidad-precio. La habitación era muy espaciosa y tenía una buena terraza sobre el río, aunque otras habitaciones eran más pequeñas, pero todas muy limpias.

We visited Mertola in late February, not prime tourist season but was still busy with tourists. Our overall impression, based on some of the local proprietors we encountered, those with us foreigners with limited Portuguese language skills should perhaps visit elsewhere. The hotel itself was very clean but basic (amazing water pressure in the shower though!). Big thanks shout out to the woman who runs the patio/bar snack bar at the Rio Biero and Hotel Museu. It was a Saturday night and it appeared most, if not all restaurants in the village were closed for dinner that night. She went out of her way to discreetly make us something to eat that evening!

A great budget option for exploring the town. There is a beautiful pool and terrace overlooking the river. Good for walking to the sights; very quiet here.

O geral bem. Vale a paisagem e o pequeno almoço. A falta de Ac no quarto depois com dias seguidos de mais de 33 graus é inaceitável, queixei me que mao funcionava no quarto 203 mams não obtive resposta. Têm 2 copos de água na cómoda mas a garrafinha de água que seria lógico e agradável nunca a vimos. No bar exterior chegamos a ficar 20 minutos à espera de ser atendidos. Piscina agradável mas pequena para tanas pessoas. Wifi muito instável.

Boa relação qualidade-preço
Hotel com quartos básicos e já um pouco antiquados, mas ainda assim confortáveis. A piscina, embora pequena, é uma vantagem e tem bastante espaço para descansar (só é pena que alguns pais considerem aceitável que os filhos se sirvam da piscina incomodando os outros utilizadores...). De uma forma geral, é uma excelente opção e voltarei a este hotel.

Bella struttura con bella vista su fiume e castello. Peccato che la domenica a Mertola quasi tutti i ristoranti siano chiusi, almeno in maggio.

A clean, comfortable convenient place.
I found the accommodation to be comfortable, clean and convenient. The add-on breakfast buffet was also a good value. My only complaint was that no one was there for me to check in for at least five or 10 minutes. Supposedly you could check in until 10 PM and I arrived at about 9:15 PM, other than that my three night stay, there was very good.

Over the last few years I have stayed here many times when I visit family in the area. As always, the rooms are clean the views are great and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It's my home away from home!

Stumbled upon this lovely hotel while travelling across the countryside … what a gem this is. The rooms are small but very comfortable. We had a fever view and it was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will be back.
