Once again we loved our stay at Port Melbourne cottage. The location is great for us (visiting MSAC). Julie is stellar to deal with (thanks Julie for returning a T-shirt my daughter left behind!). We had a great weekend again and really enjoyed the outdoor setting of the pub around the corner

Hi JulieWe had a great stay at your house. Wonderful location. Went to a couple of the great local pubs you suggested for dinner. Railway Club Hotel was the favourite.The house was clean and really comfy. Will certainly be back again.A great spot to stay.

We were very disappointed with our stay. Location was excellent, accommodation was clean, beds comfortable but:No consideration was given to visitors arriving late at night. No lights meant retrieving key from key lock box very difficult. No interior lights meant fumbling for a light switch. No milk to make a cup of tea after a five hour flight, the only thing in the fridge was a sealed bottle of dressing - bizarre, seriously? Gas on hotplates was turned on when we arrived. No welcome pack - if WIFI was connected (as stated on listing), no information was provided on how to connect.Entrance to property was covered in leaves and bird poo - didn't appear to have been cleaned for some time.Upholstery on lounge furniture cracked, no hairdryer, no shampoo. No milk supplied but plentiful cleaning product but none of it 'green' as described on listing - we didn't travel to Melbourne to clean.Ugly plastic adhesive hooks on the wall looked cheap and were not strong enough to hold a bath towel, so fell off the wall in middle of night.This was not budget accommodation so just a little expense could have been spared to make it more welcoming.

Very secure yard for dogs, everything we needed was provided. Lovely place, very clean and easy to keep clean with kids/pets. So convenient having a corner store and cafe a couple minutes walk away, and we walked into DFO with the kids a very easy stroll. The running track took me right to the casino complex in just over kilometer or so. Julie gave us timely check in info and was easy to communicate with. Would happily stay again.

Very close to Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Park (as we stayed for Australian Open, 15 mins drive away is super convenient). The house is on a quiet street in a friendly neighbourhood with a small grocery shop (sells milk, eggs, coffee too) 150 m away, all sorts of eateries and Coles supermarket on bay street which is about 10 mins walk away. The house is very clean and well maintained. It has a washing machine, a backyard, split air cons( although it is quite cool in summer so you may not even need it )and everything else you might need for a short stay. Ample street parking, tram and bus nearby but driving is quick and easy so we didn’t use public transport. There is an off leash dog park along the tram line next to north port hotel where you can take your dog inside to eat. The owner Julie was wonderful with communications. The TV somehow broke down on third day during our stay, Julie not only came over to check for me straightaway, but also bought a new set and delivered it to us the same day! BTW a dog beach is also within walking distance at the end of bay street, where my dog had a great time running around. All in all, perfect place to stay if you have a small family with dogs or if stay for an event near Melbourne CBD. Thanks Julie and Craig for your wonderful house and hospitality! We will sure come back!

The location is great, with a milk bar and cafe a short walk away. The main bathroom is off the main bedroom, which could make it awkward for some family or friend groups, but it worked for us. The air con is effective, the high ceilings make it airy. The smart TV was a little bit wobbly with Netflix crashing constantly for us (so we watched YouTube!). It's less than 10 minutes walk to the main drag of Port Melbourne, where there's an always-open supermarket and an array of different restaurants and shops.

Great area at a decent price. The only bathroom on the property is through one of the bedrooms with a seperate door going outside(?this fact was left out of the property description and I feel should have been communicated). Happy to find a pet friendly house. There are definitely no frills on this property but it was reasonably clean.overall a good stay

The cottage was great, just what we needed so I could attend a conference at the convention centre which was walking distance . Owner was really accommodating when I had to add an extra night last minute One inconvenience, but no fault of the owner, was the large number of pigeons that reside in the trees around the area. My car got absolutely covered in pigeon poo over night which dried on and was a battle to get off. Tip: take a cover for the car (or no car) no issue

Great location for Olivia’s walk with our fur family. We walked from our accommodation to Alexandra Gardens with no problems. Accommodation was comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed for our stay in Port Melbourne. Our cavaliers were happy and had an enclosed back area to play safely. Only a short walk to other walking paths and green areas and, a cafe only a few doors down. Very happy to return next year. Thankyou 🙏

Brilliant little Cottage Has everything you need super comfy beds air conditioning is great. Fantastic stay with your fur friend Doggie door Secure back yard 🐾 Everything is within walking distance Beach Coffee ( heart bakes awesome) Pub Groceries Trams Northport Hotel good food good service and your dog can be inside with you There’s a dog off leash area just around the corner that is fantastic Julie is a very considerate host and very contactable Definitely a 5⭐️ stay
