Great Lake Haven has an open-concept layout with high ceilings and a loft overlooking the living area.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The master bedroom has a king-size bed for ultimate comfort. There's also a full bathroom with a tub and shower combination on the main level next to the master bedroom.

In the loft, you'll find two double beds and a queen-size bed.

The lower, walk-out level has two futon couches that convert into double beds. It also has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Living Space and Kitchen

Great Lake Haven has a fully equipped kitchen that's perfect for cooking and gathering. The modern living room on the main floor is positioned for optimal viewing into the wooded backyard.

Outdoors

Relax on the furnished upper deck during your stay and enjoy a morning coffee or meal. We offer a grill, and there's a fire pit for s'mores and starry nights.

Beach Access

You may utilize our private association beach, which is a short 0.2-mile walk down the road, across Ridge Rd, you will find the path to the 79 stairs to access Lake Michigan.

For beach access without stairs, we recommend Mears State Park in Pentwater. It's 8 miles north of the house.

For boaters and kayakers, there's a launch 3.5 miles north on Pentwater Lake, which is accessible to Lake Michigan.

The cottage was everything described. Clean with all the amenities we needed. Close to the dunes and the lake. FYI there are approximately 74 steps to the private beach area with a rest area in between flights. We caught a couple sunsets and our kids took a few sunset dips in the lake.

The location was fantastic. Just a short walk to the beach a short drive to Silverlake. The house was clean, well stocked and had a great layout. We had 10 people and a dog with us and plenty of space to spread out. The host was also great about responding to inquiries in a timely manner.

Spent the weekend at the dunes and this house was a base. What an awesome & clean property! We were a little disappointed that we didn’t have much time to hang out at the house as we came for the dunes. House is very well furnished and felt very much like home. Definitely plan to come back. We enjoyed a week in the Mears/Pentwater area! Lots to do including wineries, pontoon boat rental and visiting Ludington for the first time... not to mention very close access to a pristine Lake Michigan beach... The house was well stocked with kitchen items for home cooking - great appliances and even storage containers for leftovers! Beds were comfortable if you like a firm mattress, but not a lot of privacy in the loft area. Back yard is smaller than it looks in the photos and neighbors are near but not too close. Basement was fun for game playing when it rained! Host was very responsive and helpful - would certainly recommend for those who want a balance of time at the house and time out and about!

Property was as described. Communication was great! Addressed all our questions promptly. The beach was awesome, we went everyday. 3 sunsets too! Honestly this week is an anniversary week of my wife’s passing. My family and I stayed here for our annual Silver Lake vacation. The home was very spacious and clean with many amenities. We really enjoyed the location as it is close to the dunes and has a private beach area to use within walking distance of the house. Access to the private beach area requires the use of a large stairway with many steps and is somewhat steep but, we became comfortable with it after a couple of uses. Being able to have a bonfire on the beach was an absolute plus! Stephanie was very easy to communicate with which we appreciated. Overall, we were extremely happy with the home and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Stephanie!
