The Read House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is also a museum, with artifacts and information related to its long history. The staff is courteous and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's location adds to the experience, since it's close to downtown restaurants and the free shuttle service. Breakfast isn't included, but there's a Starbucks in the building, and good breakfast places are within easy walking distance."

"The location was fine. You have to pay $21 to park in the lot, so when the listing tells you parking is included, that’s not accurate. Also, if you are booking a “river view” room, make sure you are above the second floor or your view will be of the air conditioning units like mine was. It was a nice comfortable room, which was nice. The view and the parking are not great though."
