A little slice of paradise in the heart of the castle grounds.
The Collector’s Cottage is the former linen room of the Houssaye estate, now transformed into a charming and authentic vacation rental.
The cottage is located at the foot of the castle, within a 22-hectare private park featuring two ponds, woods, walking trails, gardens, and permaculture vegetable gardens. A true haven in a unique setting, it offers an idyllic location in the heart of unspoiled nature and an estate steeped in history.
The estate also houses a private cultural heritage museum, Le Monde de Jacques (guided tours of the collections are available year-round by reservation), as well as Les Jardins de la Houssaye, permaculture gardens open for guided tours from May through October by reservation.
The accommodation
Access via an outdoor staircase. The accommodations are located on the upper floor.
The entryway features a coat closet. To the left is a large living area with a living room, kitchen, and dining room. To the right is a small, separate library/lounge, which can serve as a third bedroom thanks to a blackout curtain and a comfortable 160 cm sofa bed. An enclosed hallway leads to two bedrooms (140 cm beds) and a bathroom with a toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped.

Access via exterior stairs only.

Guest Access
Secure property with an automated gate accessible via an electronic key card.
Private parking located in front of the cottage.
For guests arriving with classic cars or motorcycles, a carport can be provided upon prior request.
Number of Guests
Groups of family or friends are limited to 6 people.
The Collector’s Cottage is not designed to accommodate larger groups.
For any requests related to a specific event, please contact us in advance so we can work with you to assess the feasibility of your plan.
Events and Receptions
Parties and gatherings are not permitted without our prior approval.
Photo shoots and film shoots (weddings, fashion, advertising, etc.) are also subject to prior authorization.
