"I can't say enough about how beautiful the grounds and scenery are. The staff were all incredibly polite and our room was spacious. The only issue was arriving to a room full of mosquitoes, and we woke up with a bunch of bites despite keeping the windows and door closed. The rest of our experience was so good that I'd still recommend it without hesitation. Just maybe pack extra repellant!"

"Had a great week here, it's a bit "up a hill", but it's a very nice village, and not far from a very decent supermarket, and there is a very local shop also. The host was very helpful and nice."

"Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich sehr schön. Die Gastgeberin war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.In der schönen Ferienwohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man zum Wohlfühlen braucht.Fahrtzeit nach Pisa 1 Stunde 45 Minuten und Florenz 1 Stunde 25 Minuten. Nachts die Serpentinen hoch ist ein kleines Abenteuer, da allerhand Wild unterwegs ist."

"This was a special event made even better by the beautiful house and Monica's great cooking and hosting. Stunning views and beautiful rooms. Monica welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed, she couldn't have been nicer. We also arranged for her to cook a celebration meal one night which was exceptional, genuine local products, her own cheese and a real flavour of Tuscan cookery. I can't recommend this place and Monica enough. "

"The Toscana village is great - so relaxing. The long stay owners are very friendly and helpful, as are the staff. The onsite bar/restaurant is good, as is the pool. There is a local town in easy walking distance with many old buildings, nice bars, and places to eat. On Saturdays there is a food market, so you can stock up on salads, fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses, etc. We can't wait to go back."

"Our family had a fantastic stay at this charming hotel in Lucca! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with local tips or extra towels. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city’s cobbled streets and historic sites. Mornings were a treat thanks to the generous breakfast spread: fresh pastries, fruit, eggs, and delicious Italian coffee that kept us going all day. The location was ideal—quiet yet close to everything, including the city walls and lovely piazzas. It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, hospitality, and value so well. Whether you’re travelling with kids or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this hotel hits all the right notes. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Lucca!"

"The hotel was above expectations. Exceptional staff on Reception and in the Breakfast Room. The bedroom was superb with the en-suite having extra additions such as the make up mirror. The location is excellent as situated ten minutes from the railway station and five minutes to the walled city. Thank you for a great stay. "

"Hotel San Marco was a wonderful place to stay in Lucca. The location is great—just a short walk from the beautiful walled city, making it easy to explore. The swimming pool was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing. Fabio at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and even taught us a few phrases in Italian. He also gave us great recommendations for places to eat inside the walled city, which turned out to be some of our favorite meals in Lucca. The lady at the snack bar and breakfast service was equally delightful, always courteous and providing exceptional service that made mornings feel special. Hotel San Marco offered both comfort and genuine hospitality, making our time in Lucca even more memorable."
