This is an interesting property to rate. It is important to note that it is neither a hotel or motel. Its primary function is as a conference centre and retreat. In between, it offers accommodation. For pedestrians, I believe it is too far out of town, although I did observe some guests walking. For cyclists, the same would apply in bad weather, otherwise a very easy ride. For motorists, no problem. The reason I mention this is that aside from an 8.00am breakfast (which I didn’t try) there were no bar or dining options for the casual visitor, so you need to go into town for absolutely everything. Other than that, excellent!

Fantastic experience. Would highly recommend. Only feedback I would give that didn't really impact our experience was that room toilet have a door on them that is open at the bottom and the top, which then leads into the bathroom and the main room. This means that although there is a door, the person using the loo does not have the luxury of total silence if they are going to be particularly musical or leave some kind of aroma behind. We just made a deal with the family to use the toilets near reception for any "performances". This is just a tiny bit of feedback and did not impact our stay. Looking forward to staying next time.
