Schönes Riad in der Altstadt

Dar Salam ist ein klassisches Riad, das heißt es ist um einen Innenhof gebaut, der auch bei größter Hitze angenehm kühl ist. Auf dem Dach gibt es eine Terrasse mit Sitzplätzen, wo auch gefrühstückt wird. Dort auf dem Dach hatten wir auch unser Zimmer, das sehr geschmackvoll mit Wandteppichen und alten Möbeln eingerichtet war. Das Bett war relativ hart, aber besser als eine durchgelegene Matratze. Das Hotel liegt in der nördlichen Altstadt (Medina) in einem sehr authentischen, noch nicht so touristischen Teil der Stadt, direkt an einer Hauptstraße. Tritt man aus der Tür so ist man direkt mitten drin im vollen trubeligen Leben der Stadt. Die Besitzerin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, sie bat sogar an, bei den Verhandlungen mit den Betreibern des Parkplatzes der in der Nähe des Hotels ist, zu vermitteln. Das ganze Hotel hat eine wirklich schöne, friedliche und familiäre Atmosphäre, in der man sich prima entspannen kann, wenn einem die Hektik der Stadt zu viel geworden sein sollte.
