This property is great. VERY clean, lovely looking, mostly private (sans 1 busy road nearby) and new updated appliances including heated toilets! BUT the heated pool spa was broken during our cloudy cool weather December stay. It took days of texting with property manager for them to understand the system was not working (and for them to stop giving us incorrect directions that kept turning off the heated pool as well and circulating cold water). The owner himself finally came to look on Christmas which was very nice, but also, Christmas. Of course, the problem was real, the spa system was broken and could not be resolved during our stay. I expected the owners to offer some portion of refund when it could not be fixed. Instead, I had to ask for it and they seemed insulted that I would and so far, did not give it. This removed a second star. When you advertise in the title for a heated pool and spa, and it doesn't work for our entire stay, some refund should have been automatic. I am not a fan of debating this or arguing over money especially in a situation like this when it should have been a given. Owners cannot always control something breaking during a short-term rental, but they can control how they acknowledge it to the renter whose vacation was booked based on the promise of having a heated pool and spa.
