Great location and good service. The room was spacious and happy that they had an in-room fridge and microwave as most things in Marceline were closed on Sunday. Wish the cleanliness of the bathroom was a bit better but otherwise would recommend!

The service at the hotel was amazing. Mike was quick to answer and very friendly. He was empathetic to my situation and was very reassuring that Hotel Marceline would accommodate my pets as they advertised. Everyone I dealt with at the hotel was friendly and helpful.

After some trouble due to the owner in New York overbooking the motel, and wanting us to have a room with two twin beds, instead of a king size bed room that we had reserved and paid for. The lady that works at the motel is the clerk and maid is really efficient and friendly. The experience seem to be a negative she made it a positive. We would stay there again.

Returned after last year and am planning to make it a yearly tradition! The hotel changed a bit though. Suites were built but the only access is through the front office. There is a key pad to enter a passcode to enter. While we were sitting outside, we noticed a female that forgot the code and she contacted her party to get in. I can understand a lost key that goes straight to your room or through a secure lobby. But allowing guests to enter through the main office with no staff there is scarey for the front office as well as the other guests. Plus the suites don't have a convenient exit in case of a fire or any other natural event/disaster.

This property is clean, the beds are comfy, the staff was great. Did have a slippery bathtub but that would be an easy fix with a bath mat. I had to cancel my second night and it was no problem.

Interesting extended motel.
Clean, but in dire need of a dehumidifier in the 2 bedroom unit. The beds were very comfortable. It was also advertised as having two bathrooms, but there was only one. I'm not sure how the unit accommodates 10 people. It looked more like sleeping room for 7 comfortably. There are plates, bowls silverware etc. However, if a group was going to stay here for an extended stay, they would need to bring a few more cooking supplies ie pans etc.

Thanks for the feedback. However when you message on the room prior to arrival we clearly clarified there is we provide extra bed as needed and also 1 bathroom and half bathroom in the basement (on the property) we have a decent pots and pans and additional can be provided which are with front desk.

I absolutely loved this suite. Traveling with grandkids and this stay was our favorite. Private, clean, convenient and the hosts were absolutely the most attentive. Beds were perfect. Kitchen supplies were above expectations. I will go out of my way to stay here again.

The staff was polite. I had to leave unexpectedly due to my daughter being sick and wasn’t even offered a refund or prorate for my last night. The hotel grounds are old and show their wear. The room smelled like cleaning chemicals and there was a thick film on the floor in the bathroom, which made it slippery. The shower didn’t work. The power was out upon my arrival and during the night it sounded like someone was walking on the ceiling at 1,2 & 3 am.

My understanding there was no such request of anything to the staff on the property. It’s unfortunate you had this experience..Also the reservation was made through hotel partner we would not be able to change or adjust price without mutual consent of the partner.Note sure why would anyone walk on the ceiling of a small secure town at 1,2,3 am. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns, however these concerns were made anonymously

The deadbolts on the doors don’t work, so you only have a tiny handle lock, so I didn’t feel safe- easy for someone to get into the rooms. The room was sticky and humid, it had a clean look to it but didn’t feel clean.

Room and bathroom were clean. There were no plugs for the end tables next to the bed. I had to plug my cell phone in the outlet under the window and place my phone on the floor. Also, would be nice if there was a single serve coffee pot in the room. There wasn’t even coffee in the front office.

Clean and Comfortable
We were going to be late checking in. The lady i talked to was very friendly and did not have a problem with us arriving late. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. It was reminiscent of the first 'motels' back in the 30's, which was super fun and nostalgic. My husband said the train woke him up, but i slept very soundly.

First of all, the word 'hotel' implies indoor hallways to all rooms. This property is a 'motel' with only outdoor access to rooms. However, it was still nice. The three issues I had, were the slick tub without a bath mat, no floor towel for stepping out of the tub, and thenearest oulet formy CPap machine was across the room from the bed!

Nicely renovated motel, (not hotel)
Admittedly, our first impression left us a bit disappointed when we realized this property was a motel, not a hotel. However, the clerk was amiable and once we got inside the room we were very pleased. It was very clean, nicely furnished, and the room was quite comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Marceline in the future.

Upgraded Motel.
This older designed motel has been upgraded so the rooms were nice and modern. The motel was quick and easy to access from the highway so the distance from highway was negligible. The motel was near a couple of restaurants and gas station. The front staff was great! We had an issue and the desk staffed helped solve the problem. We felt the motel was fairly priced for the amenities it provided.

If you stay at $80 motels, then this is a really great option. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk lady was very nice. It isn't a Sheraton, so if that is what you are expecting, then you need to pay more and go somewhere else. But we were very pleased for the one night stay.
