Nice room, clean, and the hotel has a convenient location. The entrance could've been more welcoming. A heavy smell of old cigarettes greets you as you come in. Had to wait a bit at reception before checking in, but not too bad.

Decent German hotel centrally located.

This is a fairly typical German style hotel with a twist. Got there early and doors were locked. There was a number to call as you need a code to get in the building when reception isn't open which is only between 1 and 9 pm. They told me that they normally send a code and instructions via text but Expedia didn't send them my phone number. I just needed to leave my suitcase as I was going to my daughter's apartment, so the housekeeping staff allowed me to leave my suitcase in a room by the reception area which because of impending construction is on the second floor. What I liked most about this hotel was the location. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and about a 15 minute walk to my daughter's apartment near the Klinikum. If you are a lite sleeper be aware this is located on a main road in Mannheim with lots of stores, clubs and restaurants. There was a pair of earplugs in the room but I didn't need them. Like other German hotels I've been in but room was large. 2 twin beds together with a duvet. Pillows were foam chunks and not comfortable and one pillow kept popping out of the case. Lots of outlets (European type). Room was warm, didn't need the heat on despite being cold outside. The daily breakfast buffet was standard far with usual German breakfast foods - Muesli, coldcuts, fruit, cheese, eggs, yogurt and great brotchen.

Property is connected to a cassino, so the hall smells of smoke. We had a hard time finding the hotel at first arrival and reception was temporarily on the second floor of the building, so it was a little weird to have to walk in and get the elevator. The room was OK but when we arrived the room roginally assigned to us was not yet clean, so they gave us another room that stragely had only manual keys, while all other rooms had digital locks. Breakfast was not included, but we decided to pay for it for convenience. Not too many options, but enough for an OK breakfast. Hotel region was not super great, there are a lot of cassinos in that area and many closed businesses, which gave the impression to be an area a little less safe than other regions of the city we've been to.

The entryway smelled of manure. The room was hot. We had to keep large doors shut during sleep because neighbors were smoking on their connected balcony and were up partying all night. The 2nd and 3rd bed were awful with peeling vinyl that sheet wouldn’t stay on.
This was considered a “bed.”
Partition let smoke waft over onto our balcony and into our room. The neighbors were out there smoking all night.

We booked for 4 nights but left after 3, we would of left sooner but we were visiting friends who live in the area. We booked king sized bed but got 2 single beds. Blackout blinds that only covered 2 out the 3 windows. The security door was left open, including after curfew hours. No person to stop non guests from walking in. Overall a terrible place to stay.

Its like a hostel, at midnight a lot shouts at corridors drunk people, hourly user adults with +18 screams, Ok i agree that its a cith hotel but, If you are travelling with family dont choose this hotel. Also if you need a good sleep, its impossible, you can't. Walls are very very thin. Not recommended.

Very bad experience

I booked three rooms for myself and two colleagues. This was my first time when I booked a double room, but since I was alone, only half the room was prepared. The double bed was made up for one person, there was only one towel, etc. Additionally, the bed linen and pillowcase were not clean; they smelled of cologne and sweat. The room also had a cigarette smoke odor. I raised these concerns with reception, and they advised me to send an email, which I did. Unfortunately, the email went unanswered, and nothing changed the next day. This was a disappointing experience, and I can’t recommend it to anyone

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Hotel Luise Mannheim. I booked a stay expecting a comfortable visit, but upon arrival, I quickly discovered that the heating system wasn’t working. This was a serious issue given the weather, so I raised my concern with the hotel staff, who eventually suggested that I leave, assuring me I would receive a full refund. Unfortunately, despite their promise, I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve contacted the hotel multiple times and even visited in person, but each time I’m met with a new excuse. This lack of accountability and customer service is truly frustrating, especially after being asked to leave due to their facilities not being in working order. I hope sharing my experience helps others make informed choices when booking.

Völlig daneben

Schade. Wir wollten zum Konzert von The Sweet. Das wurde verschoben. Das Hotel war nicht kulant und hat die Übernachtung nicht storniert. So werden wir beim Nachholtermin auch nicht in diesem Hotel übernachten
