Very comfortable home and great place to stay. Older home but modern updated inside and clean. Loved the big screen TV and kitchen area. Everything worked well and would highly recommend staying here. Also the owner was easy to get in touch with and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent all around!

Enjoyed our stay, very clean quiet, would definitely book again.
Everything was clean. Communication was good. The only thing that threw us off was a loud buzzing noise late at night. Other then that it was a excellent stay!
This rental was great, love the location. Very clean and quiet.
There are only a few items that could be changed:
Darker curtains,
Night stand in bedrooms to place phone and personal items like ear rings, wallet on,
Living room floor base seems to not be stable,
Add more sitting chairs in living room and a foot stood or two,
Add A/C in bedrooms,
Would be nice to have a dishwasher, but it's ok as is with the huge sink,
Maybe have lighter color bedding for summer.
It looks rough on the outside but it is very clean and updated on the inside. It was perfect for a quick overnight as we passed through. The check in was easy enough. There were no check out instructions which would've been helpful. They had shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms. That was nice.
Super cute house that is comfortable and located in a great place. We were on a road trip to Nebraska and chose Mankato as our last stop before arriving. We actually ended up staying an extra day. Something to note for your stay is many things are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in the area. The restaurant next door was open thankfully and had

Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
I had stayed here before and had a great experience. There was great communication. And the house was tidy. This time there were unmade beds with dirty sheets. Bins full of trash. And crusty towels hanging from the shower curtain rod. I reached out to the owner, who uses a property manager and I have yet to hear back from him. I hate to leave a bad review. But, with the lack of response, I have no other recourse. It’s unfortunate. Because I have suggested to several people I know to stay here when they go fishing in the area. I hope their experience was like my first experience here and not my last…
The house is very clean and the beds are comfortable. I slept very well and that is unusual when I am away from home. The property manager was very responsive to my request. As the restaurants in Mankato are not open for breakfast, it was very nice to be able to get a few grocery items and have breakfast in the house. There is a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster, so easy to make breakfast at the house. This was definitely more comfortable than staying at the motel. This will be my first choice the next time we visit Mankato.
We had four family members and the accommodations were very adequate for that number. We found it very clean except for the floor. The yard outside leaves a lot to be desired so dirt and mud had been tracked in and not cleaned. There had been lots of rain which contributed to that and also made quite a drainage gully at end of the driveway. The kitchen needed a dishcloth or two and more than just the one dishtowel. We were not able to procure the password to the Wi-Fi until the evening before we were leaving. That information should have been posted in an obvious location within the premisis. We had to message the host and did not get a prompt response. I am actually stating these observations as suggestions to improve the VRBO experience for guests not as criticisms. We actually did enjoy our stay very much.
Great check-in with a kind property manager and cute decor. They worked to clear snow on sidewalk and pack it down in advance of our arrival. She even brought our food order over to allow us time to get our bags inside and settled. It was a bit dark in the back but she gave good instructions to access the property due to snow/ice. Unfortunately, the furnace was not working properly and kept shutting off. It was late on a Saturday so not possible for her to call anyone for assistance. She showed us the electric heaters and mentioned they were used last year too. So this appears to be an ongoing furnace issue. One electric heater had a caution light (heaters were very dusty) and quit working. We did the best we could to heat the home with what was available to us. I texted the out of state owner who apologized and asked if we had found the extra bedding. It was 5 degrees out and 10 below zero windchill with an ice cold floor. I said we weren't expecting to deal with those conditions for our stay but I didn't hear back. The temperature on our electric heater in our bedroom read 49 degrees when I woke up to turn on and living room was even colder. The property manager had offered to speak with the owner about a refund and the next day apologized when I turned in my key. I checked my credit card statement today and was charged $148 total, with a base rate $20 higher than advertised. We will dispute charge if no resolution. Unfortunately cannot recommend after a cold, short night.
