Make yourself at home at Camp Smokey, located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. FREE FIREWOOD provided, along with a covered outdoor seating area in case it rains! Spacious single wide on 5 acres is under new ownership (formerly Camp OSO). Less than 5 minutes to Tippy Dam, Red Bridge and Manistee River access! The North Country Trail, Manistee River trails and snow mobile trails are 5 minutes away. Blue Ribbon trout streams nearby (such as Peterson Creek) as well as Tippy Dam backwaters. Near Caberfae Ski Resort and Crystal Mountain!
Sportsmen/sportswomen friendly. In the heart of outdoor recreation, you will be minutes from not only world-class fishing, but hiking, biking, tubing, kayaking, rafting, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and state and national forest lands for hunting. Minutes from Manistee and Traverse City and Sleep Bear Dunes. The casino, golf and ski resorts are only 20 minutes away. Restaurants and stores close by. Not far off of Coates Highway in Brethren, Michigan. Walking distance to state land.
This 2 bedroom, one bath (with a huge tub) offers room to sleep 4-6 comfortably, but can sleep up to 8. One queen size log bed, one full and 2 twin beds, along with a self-inflating queen mattress. Fully equipped with a full kitchen, laundry, fire pit and plenty of parking for your ATV’s and boats. New flooring throughout. Smart TV (many channels) and WIFI provided, along with many amenities. Recreational maps and information available for your use.
We feel your pet is a part of your family – well behaved animals are welcome at no additional cost.

Everything was great, very clean and was very accommodating to us arriving early to drop of groceries. We had our family over to visit including our twin 3 yr old great neices and 1 year old nephew over and there was a sprinkler, water guns and tons of coloring books so they stayed busy with on site accommodations. Although we did not have a pet with us, this site being pet friendly made me a little nervous but it not smell of animals at all! We would go back to this place!

Wonderful

This place was amazing! It had everything we needed. Far enough from the city thst you couldn't hear any noise but close enough to go get something if you needed to.We had a little trouble getting into the unit, but host quickly answered our text and helped us get in.Definitely recommend this place for a peaceful, relaxing stay.

Amazing place to stay!!

I got here and was instantly happy with my choice staying here. If you have a big group more than likely you’ll all be able to sleep, everything is close with in an hour of where we wanted to go and had an absolute blast staying here!!

We enjoyed our stay at Camp Smokey. The home is great, a lot less mosquitoes in the yard than when you stay in the deep woods, and close to our favorite bait shops, markets, dining and recreation. Love that old sheets are provided for the doggies and to use at the beach. Lots of different places in and out of the house to sit, doesn't feel cramped or crowded at all. Love it!

It was a really fun stay, there’s lots to do nearby and the hiking is awesome. The sleeping bear dunes are a bit hard though so make sure you properly prepare!

Great Location

This property is in the best location. Close to the Dublin store, Manistee River Trail and Brethren. The host was awesome on giving information and making sure the stay was relaxing. We will be back!

Overall decent. When the description said 5 acres i thought it would be more secluded. Must be long 5 acres not square. Dog next door kept barking which would set my dogs off, lots of Japanese beetles all over flying in food and drinks, no grill like listed so had to do a lot more diahes than had hoped for, water heater not big enough to fill the big tub so that was also a bummer.

Great location and property in great shape

We stayed here so we could have easy access to the snowmobile trails. The property is in the perfect location for that and there are towns that are still close enough for convenience. The home is in really good shape with obvious updates. The beds could be softer but other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Stay

My family with our dog stayed to celebrate my birthday and fish. The home was very clean, property manager was easily accessible for questions. Lovely welcome packet with restaurants, ATV trails things to do in the area. Want to stay there again!

Loved staying at this property - Camp Smokey

We stayed here a few years ago and had a fantastic stay then and now for a local trail race. This property is extremely clean and well kept up in a peaceful area. There are many thoughtful touches the owners leave, from keeping a basket of dog supplies to having nice scented bath products! My family really enjoy it here. And we plan on keep coming back.

Great secluded getaway!

We had a wonderful 12 day stay with our grandchildren! Close to the Tippy Dam, grocery store, kayaking, nature walks, just lots of activities to do. This would be a GREAT place for snowmobilers to stay. It was extremely nice to have a washer and dryer available. The beds were very comfortable. Everything that you would need for an enjoyable week away from home was all provided. We will look forward to returning this next year!

Perfect getaway

Its comfortable and cozy plenty of activities to do at the house and nearby. Close to tippy dam, so many manistee national forest trails, close to many beaches in manistee as well. Plenty of room for our family and dogs. Very clean and updated flooring. We had a great stay!
