This hotel is located in city center. The local restaurant is not far from hotel. The 24 hours convenience store is on the opposite site. You can walk to Clock tower and the night market in 500 metres. The hotel staffs are very friendly.Breakfast buffet is good. The room is perfect, clean and comfort.
A very nice basic place to hang one's hat ..... breakfast needs some serious improvement. The staff is exceptional......................... ask for the manager's son if you want custom day trips. Speaks excellent Engish and a great value.
The only negative is the local area............ very poor area and dirty.
Very cheap hotel but very good for what it is. Very clean and good facilities, even had fridge and water kettle. It was hidden behind the bed for some reason. Breakfast was a bit dissapointing.
Small and clean room but comfy I would to recomended :)

An Efficient "Backpacker's Hotel"
I booked the Nylon Hotel because it's what I would call a 'backpacker's hotel,' even though I am not a backpacker. I was only in Mandalay for 24 hours, and I had certain priorities: I wanted to see certain sights in that short timeframe, I needed to arrange a ferry ticket to Bagan the next day, and I didn't want to spend a lot of time doing logistical things (e.g. looking for a place to eat breakfast, rinse out a few clothes, look for a great, economical tour guide, etc.) The Nylon Hotel fit the bill. The rooms were very basic (no views), the breakfast had a surprisingly large number of fresh tasty options, they booked me on a great ferry to Bagan (on MGRG Express) for the next day, and set me up with a wonderful motorbike guide (Mr. Miu). No problems with air-con. Wifi was spotty (went through a lot of wifi passwords), but not as bad as I had read it would be in Myanmar. Everything was easy. The staff were cordial and efficient. Note: the Nylon Hotel is now actually 2 hotels. The old one (on the corner) doesn't have an elevator, according to the online reviews I read.. The new one, a few doors down, has an exterior sign identifying it as The New Nylon Hotel, and an elevator. My hotel confirmation was for "The Nylon Hotel" so I first went to the old hotel, but they escorted me to the new one.

Good.
Fairly new small hotel in a convenient area. Excellent breakfast. Room was nice but noisy. Bathroom could be cleaner.
Location is very good. A little bit tucked inside at a busy intersection. My room on the 6F has a rather open view. Easy to walk to the historic neighborhoods and also bus / truck stop to U Bein Bridge.
