"Stayed here for one night. Grounds are very pretty and hotel is based on the side of quite a steep hill so quite a lot of stairs and ramps. There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. "La casa al nostro arrivo era poco pulita e umida, le lenzuola sporche e in uno stato pessimo. Doccia stretta e scarico del bagno non funzionante sistemato dopo due giorni. Mancavano armadio, pentole e padelle. Porte e finestre poco sicure. Il proprietario é stato disponibile e si é adoperato per risolvere il problema del bagno, ma abbiamo dovuto acquistare pentole e biancheria per la casa."

"Everything was perfect. The accomodation is furnished perfect and it's location is very close to the piazza with lovely restaurants. The Gastgeber is a very nice and helpful man - you can relay on his help whenever you need. We thank him for all his hospitality we could enjoy."

"This lovely apartment on the ground floor (entrance from a pedestrian street) was beautifully redecorated and updated. The furnishings were comfortable. It had supplies (like paper towels and coffee pods) that other places haven't offered which made our stay easier. The location was good to walk to the castle and main street of Vibo Valentia."

"We had only one night to stay in this hotel that seemed to be a five star in old days on our way back to Rome. Our room was very clean and spacious with a very nice view of the sea. I also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool. The staff were also very nice and helpful. the breakfast was very limited and I think it was because not many people were staying at our time. By the way there was a pizzeria restaurant close by called Bambu. Their food was excellent "

"The hotel was very pretty. The rooms could have use a paint job but we had a great balcony and bathroom was big. We did go off season so there wasn’t a lot of people. I was disappointed that the fountain outside wasn’t on & the ones inside. The staff was mediocre at best. When we checked out there was no one at the front desk and we just left our keys. So our experience wasn’t the best. "

"to begin with I have to admit I liked the 501 against my better judgement at times but the location and views allows a lot to be forgiven. I can imagine the 501 in its glory days would have been spectacular. the architecture is still on place and quality never goes out of style. however the old girl does look a little tired and could benefit from a little renovation in places. the staff, mainly Italian or course and many locals, can be a little abrupt or disinterested when they are busy with other things or distracted. But... this is Italy. they don't mean anything by it but they need to know it's not what some travellers expect. "
