「Bernie is super friendly and helpful. The place itself feels a little run down and in need of renovation. The rooms themselves are better than the rest of the property. Overall, a reasonable place to stay overnight while hopping on to the ferry.」

「We liked the balcony and the view. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. There was sufficient parking. The staff were helpful and provided some recommendations for dining which were appreciated. We were surprised to learn the restaurant was under renovation but were happy with the other restaurants we found.」

「The Pioneer Inn is an older property which appears from the outside to have seen better days. However the friendly new owners are upgrading the interior. Our room was spacious & the beds were lovely. The floors were redone with new flooring , bathrooms vanity. etc. The restaurant which is run by the hotel owners has delicious Asian food. I enjoyed the beautifully presented tempura.」
