5 star hotel in Makassar
Long time no coming to Makassar. Lucky my friend work in this hotel. Not only the reason, food is delicious, facilities are new. Ah but if u want to swim, bring swimsuit. Usually clothes not allow. And hotel lobby connect to mall entrance. Easy to go!

Great rooms and facilities. Bathroom is very spacious. Amenities are unsurpassed. Courteous staff with good English. Right above a shopping mall. Things to be improved are breakfast buffet, the selections and service are good but some food is cold and dry. Also the parking check in/out gate is located on top of a slope, our car stalled several times after stopping there😅. Overall a very good hotel, I will definitely choose Rinra again on my next trip.

Lots of potential
Very nice hotel spoiled by noise. We were there four nights. The first night, there were sound checks for a music festival. At 10.30 pm, I asked them to stop and they did. They said the festival the next night would stop at 10.30pm but it went on until after 1 am. The third night, there was an event with live music outside the adjacent mall. The last night, there was an event at one of the three close by convention centres but not too bad. The windows of the room did very little to cut out the noise. The room was excellent except that the bed was a bit hard and there was nowhere to hang wet bathers after using the magnificent infinity pool. There were three service issues. We tried to give a stamped letter to reception to post but they wouldn't accept it. We bought a large (expensive) beer to divide between two glasses. The waiter poured it and left a small amount in the bottle on the counter. Another waiter then threw it away so we missed out. They then claimed the bottle had been empty. They need beach towels for guests to go to the excellent nearby islands. Local transport is also an issue. There are no buses or mini buses. There's usually a taxi waiting near the hotel but not many in town to get back. Best to have the Grab app, although it didn't position the hotel well. The included breakfast was excellent. This hotel has a lot of potential but doesn't seem to have worked out how to best to deal with foreign tourists.

Friendly & courteous staff
Check in was easy. The front office, security and bell boy are very kind and always helpful. The buffet breakfast has variety of choices and the attendants are cheerful and always readily available to assist the customers.

Friemdly staf
The front office, bell boysecurity personnel and housekeeping are very courteous, friendly and helpful. Except the waiters at the Buffert are indifferent and some of the food are cold. Everything else is praiseworthy.

Fabulous infinity pool.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view over the waterfront and city. Only one little problem was the rain shower leaked. The pool was fabulous especially as the sunset over the sea. The restaurant had a great breakfast. There was a wide variety to choose from and staff were very attentive.

Once enter room, there is light odour similar to vomiting. Bedsheet has one patch light pink Color stain, don’t expect to see from a 5star Hotel. Gym all 3set running track machine not working, screen show “error”.

Excellent facilities but poor services
The hotel is very new and facilities are beautiful and functional; pool is gorgeous. Rooms are particularly comfortable with excellent amenities. However, staff, despite being friendly, are very poorly trained. We were 3 people and check-in took almost 40 minutes at 1am, with two staff handling it. Very low levels of English spoken so lots of confusion when ordering services. Incredibly loud music played in bar and pool area until past 10pm during the weekend, making it impossible to even watch TV on the 16th floor. Breakfast had plenty of local options but few international/western options. Finally, the hotel is situated in a large reclaimed area, surrounded by construction sites, so views, even when facing the sea, aren't beautiful. It's isolated from the main city centre but a new mall is opening next door. Overall a very comfortable hotel with great promise once the surrounding area is developed and serious management and staff training are put in place.
