Hi Mark, we just installed this winter a brand new high-efficiency fireplace! It has a nice, brand new, remote labeled control specifically installed on the wall right next to the fireplace. I wrote to you about the new fireplace on your check-in instructions to simply push the On/Off button (one click is all that it is). Those instructions were there for you all to read. Really, all you had to do is click it to ‘On/Off’. I wish you would have let either Lexi (our local manager) or I know, we could have walked you though it as it doesn’t make a lot of sense to not reach out for help if you were unable to figure out how to push the On/Off button for days. And it worked perfectly for the last guests last week, by the way. I’m terribly sorry to hear about your husband having to be evacuated from the toilet via the ambulance. I’m sure that was scary. The house is listed as having a handicap ramp. We don’t mean in anyway to infer anything more. That is a nice ramp we had installed recently to help folks in and out of the house. In no way do we imply that the standard toilet(s) are handicap. Plus, there are pictures of each toilet on the website along with 50+ images. But, that’s probably a smart thing to check if that’s important prior to you clicking ‘Instant Book it’. Lots of folks ask a few pertinent questions prior to their Booking if that’s a concern. Hi Donna, I’m really surprised that you have that to say. We don’t advertise that the shower is handicap access-only that there’s pretty new handicap ramp that we had recently installed outside! Most folks really liked that new addition as you noticed. And as for the gas fireplace, as you well know, you were running the heat at 80° for seven days straight and you ran the full gas tanks down to zero! You called my Maintence team and I had the gas truck from Mountian Energy (Marty is his name) there inside 1 hour! They even left you a note by the front door!! We also reminded you that since you were running the heat at 80° for 7 days straight that it was triggering the air conditioner-so both were on at the exact same time or at least trying to cycle back-and-forth. You had the fireplace on as well as the air-conditioning so I don’t think any house is going to really do well in that situation! In fact, my Cleaning Lady tried letting you know twice by calling your cell but had to leave messages on your cell phone so as to please be careful about running the heat at 80. I’m not quite certain how anybody would want to actually have their house at 80° in the middle of the winter but that’s what you were doing! We were getting all sort of alarms from the built in safety features on the Heat/HVAC unit. BTW, the MB TV is brand new last month so you just had to know how to use the 2021 remotes these days. They can get complicated with the all the hifalutin apps on it! So it does take some skill in ‘remote use’. All of our other guests have really liked the 2 new TV’s with all the 2021 apps that are available! So thanks for your notes and for staying.
