5泊しました。午後に到着したのですが、前の広場にホームレスが2人。1人はベンチで寝そべり、もう1人は多分酔っ払って何かぶつぶつ言っていました。夜も食事から戻る時、薄暗く怖かったです。私は主人と一緒でしたが、女性客にはお勧めできません。 3分ほど歩けばカフェもお店もありますが、運が悪いと望まないトラブルにぶつかりそうな一画でした。価格はリーゾナブルですが、ホテル選択を後悔しました。

深夜に着いたにもスタッフは荷物を運んでくれたりと親切でした。部屋は始め、窓の外が建物の内側に向いた暗い所でしたが、翌日話すと明るく景色の良いところに替えてくれました。

場所は良いが、その他は。。。
場所について：ソル駅からスーツケースを引きながら徒歩5分、最後は少し登り坂がありましたが、若くない私たちでもそれほど苦にならない距離でした。いくつかの駅に歩いて行ける場所にあり、観光に便利でした。 部屋について：たまたま滞在した部屋が悪かったのかもしれませんが、とても狭く、日本のビジネスホテルよりも狭い部屋の中に不必要に大きなベッドがあり、快適とは言い難かったです。 朝食について：ハムは数種類あり、オムレツや目玉焼きを焼いてくれますが、ブッフェの種類が少なく、3日目には飽きてしまいました。 全体として：コストパフォーマンスは悪く、この金額を出すなら他のホテルにします。

２つの地下鉄の駅から5分以内で、観光にとても便利な場所にあります。古い建物でしたが、内部は新しくなっていました。部屋も広めで清潔、バスタブもあり快適に過ごせました。古いエレベータがあって、ヨーロッパのホテルという雰囲気です。吹き抜けに面した内側の部屋だったため暗かったのと、ティッシュペーパーがないのが不便でしたが。

散策に便利な静かなエリアにあるホテル
ホテルはデスカルサス・レアレス修道院の隣に位置し、静かな旧市街地内。 1分で歩行者天国のショッピングストリートに出られる。 地下鉄オペラ・ソル・カリョオの真ん中にあり、どの駅も徒歩5分程。 部屋は天井が高く、ベッドが固めで良かったが、我々が滞在した部屋はシングルベッド2つのツインでバスタブがなかったのが残念。

プエルタデルソル広場とオペラ座との間で、デスカルサス修道院の隣にあります。周辺には夜遅くまで空いているお店も沢山あり、ショッピングに最適。地下鉄の駅もすぐ近くにあるので、どこにでもいける立地で便利。滞在した部屋はバスタブ付きでアメニティーも一通りそろっていました。少し古めの感じはありましたが、それほど気にはなりませんでした。若干値段が高かった。

2度目の滞在です。好立地（交通、買物、食事）で、ホテルも清潔、朝食も美味しい。1回目の宿泊は、ルーフテラス。今回は、小さなベランダ付の部屋。料金は今回の方が高い。宿泊時期は、前回と略同じ。何か変です。前回は良すぎたのかなあ？ただし、今回、部屋にウエルカムの発砲ワイン（１ボトル、２グラス、冷却セット）、フルーツがあり、びっくり。前回はなし。これが、疑問を解く鍵か？話は変わりますが、前回と同じく、喧しい団体客はいませんでした。静かに1週間過ごせました。次回も利用したい。

The hotel was beautiful. The room was lovely. We did have trouble working the air conditioner but they sent someone up to explain. There were also no directions we could find about how to call the desk. The front desk staff were great. The breakfast was awesome too.

We arrived at 2pm for check-in but was told our room was not ready. Our room was also missing an iron & ironing board, conditioner, and body lotion- things that we had in all our other hotels throughout my stay in Spain. The hotel should not have a 2pm check-in listed if the rooms are not available and instead list a 3pm check-in on the Expedia website.

Hotel was very clean and centrally located. Staff was friendly. Only complaint was the AC was broken, and we had to sleep in the room 78 degree F/ 26 degree C, and opening the window didn’t even help because it led to an indoor courtyard where heat gets trapped. No compensation for this or offer to be moved to another room.

The Intelier Palacio de San Martin is located in Center Madrid. The hotel has old charm and is very clean. The staff is courteous and house keeping is available daily. The rooms are clean and spacious with a 65” colored tv. The bathrooms are spacious with a combo shower and tub. They have complimentary hygiene products in every bathroom. The hotel offers a continental breakfast with cook order omelets. I found the breakfast delicious and offering many fruits, meats, cheeses, breads and sweets. The surrounding neighborhood is vibrant and teaming with businesses and must see hot spots. There are at least 2 major departments store and shops of all kinds less than 3 minutes away. There are so many places to dine that you would never have to eat at the same place twice. There are also so many remarkable landmarks and historical sites within walking distance. An UBER ride is less than 5 minutes away from many parts of Madrid. I definitely plan to visit Madrid for a much longer stay next time.
