The property itself and location was fine. The customer service left something to be desired. I inquired about staying an additional night and the immediate response was that "it will be pricey" followed by over 30 open room accommodations. The room was oddly set up - such that when you lay down, your head is facing the door to the room (and top of head at facing west). Odd set up. But it was clean and served its purpose.

The Hampton was very clean and neat throughout the entire hotel. All of the employees I came in contact with (front desk employees, housekeeping staff) were friendly and polite. Reasonable rates.

Front staff was never at the desk, coffee was not available 24/7 like website states. There was not a volleyball net in the pool like the pictures show. On a plus side, kids loved the pools little play area.

The place was very clean and the inside looked very nice. The beds were terrible. Almost decided to come home. The free breakfast was good. Coffee not the best. The pool area was pretty clean but the smell of the chlorine was overwhelming. Made my eyes burn.

The area was fine but the pull out couch was awful to sleep on. Could feel the springs when you lay down. Had to put it back into a couch to sleep. There is no quiet time at all. Kids running up and down the halls, banging on doors. Adults and kids being obnoxious and loud till midnight. As much money as I spent. It should have been a better experience.

We liked the hotel for the state basketball tournament. About 15 minutes away. The room was good. Strange no microwave or tv guides. Breakfast was great though. An assortment was great. Thank you

Great pool for kids. Had a 3 and 4 year old with and they had a great time on the slide. Perfect place to stay in Madison if you are traveling with toddlers. Very reasonable prices.

Cover ur eyes & ears, bcuz u'll see/hear it all...
Have stayed here many many times and never really ever had a problem.. People were condoning in sexual stuff in the hottub while drinking, which made myself and my children leave. As well as other familys had to leave.. Then up in our room from 1130pm till 215am people next door had sex, you could hear it through the wall, had to turn TV on because my son and I could hear clear as day moaning, grunting, noises etc.. Turned TV up to 18 could still hear over it.. Had to call front desk and still keep the TV il on super loud.. Unfortunately wont be back. No one should pay $160 to not get sleep and be forced to hear people having sex..

Our room was so hot. The thermostat was set to 50 with the fan going and cold set and it remained 74 and humid the whole time. Stay was during February for reference. People were friendly and it's a great hotel except for that condition!

The pool looked nice but I did not have time to access it. I was disappointed in the room I was given. I would have asked for a different room but had already partially unpacked when I became aware of its problem. I was given a room on the highway side of the building which meant a constant hum of noise. The view was of cars racing by. There was a nice lounge chair which I was reluctant to use because it had a large greasy looking stain on the seat. The towel hanger on the door was loose and partially detached. I was unhappy with being given this problematic room in that it was a large room and the breakfasts were good. Even though the hotel was busy Saturday night, the room was still quiet except for the traffic and occasionally the person overhead. If I were to stay there again, I would ask for a room on the other side and on the top floor which would have helped.

Beautiful lobby and breakfast area, good free breakfast, loved that it was available until 10. Seems either new or very recently updated, nice rooms, nice pool, nice staff. Great value. Not a criticism but it is 20 minutes from UW so not real convenient if going there.

Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had. Guest Services were polite and so friendly! My only concern was there was this weird metal banging that happened outside my room like every 20 or 30 mins but honestly we were only there for one night, so I didn't want to be a burden. I figured it was the heat or the elevator since we were the room closer to it. Beds are comfy and as well.

Love this location and the big breakfast available. Unfortunately when they ran out of eggs at 9:50am and I asked if they had more they said they did not speak english and then they never refilled it (breakfast went until 10am I believe.). I guess that was my fault for being so late. I also notified a lot of unsupervised children who were very loud and running all over the place. May have been the time of year but when my daughter and I were there last summer it was much quieter, cleaner and efficient.

Just curious
A lovely room, but curious: an accessible, pet-friendly room on 2nd floor, requiring elevator or steps, seemed a little inconvenient. Great hit breakfast, but with all paper and plastic, no recycling (as I looked), regretfully creates a large amount of waste daily.
