THIS UNIT IS NOT FOR EMPLOYEE HOUSING. The person responsible for booking also needs to be the one staying. No subletting. Names and signed contract are required by the condo owners association aka HOA. For the remainder of 2024, Nov/Dec are open for booking. Peak season June, July, August, September & October are booked. For 2025 the months of Jan-April 30 are open and September-December are open.

The original VRBO listing for Mackinac Island that is actually “on” Mackinac Island!!! Part of VRBO’s Premier Partner program since its inception. Watch out for those listings that come up that they are on the island, but actually located in Mackinaw City. This is due to the small radius of the area and VRBO not realizing this.
Heroes Retreat has a fantastic top floor water view of Lake Huron and a step back in time view of Main Street. Largest condo in the building with vaulted ceilings. Please see photos under the "photo" tab. Find us on Instagram for more photos at heroesretreatmackinac
Smoke-Free/Pet-free condo/Children must be 10 years and up as this is a quiet condo building and I respect my neighbors.
Internet Access and utilities included during your stay. 4k Smart TV, Netflix & Hulu ready, just login to your personal accounts. Peloton too! Available year round!

This deluxe two bedroom 3rd-floor unit sleeps 5. It has 2 queen size beds with tempur-pedic toppers and a custom, leather, tempur-pedic sleeper. The living rooms arched windows offers a terrific view of Main Street and Mission Point to the east while its deck offers a view of the lake. Have it all with our rental... a full kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, wood floors and a washer and dryer right in our unit.
2 beach cruisers (one male, one female) with large baskets on the front, locks and helmets included with rental. This is a huge savings for a 30 day stay. As bike rental rates start at $10/hour. The provided bikes or your personal bikes are not allowed in the building at anytime. This is against HOA rules. E-bikes are also not allowed per building rules. They may not be stored on my balcony of Heroes Retreat either. Bike racks are conveniently located right behind our complex and need to be locked up on the rack and while out in town.

Very secure location with keyed entry to the building and to our unit. We never want to leave our piece of paradise and either will you. A short walk from the Starline Dock.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Trash must be placed in city required bag purchased by you, from Doud’s and then placed in the bin on the side of the condo building.
One set of keys to be left in the condo and one set to be placed in the lockbox on the side of the building.
Please lock up both bikes.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

City trash bags must be purchased at City Hall or Doud's during your stay. Only city bags are allowed for garbage in the outside bin for our building.
MONTHLY RENTAL ONLY NO SMOKING NO PETS due to pet allergy
Renter must be present at all times. Renter can not leave guest overnight if they are not present. Renter is liable. No candles, no smoking/vaping.
