Would not stay again.
Firstly they market the king room as superior. Paid a premium for it and it’s two beds pushed together with no mattress topper so a big gap. The shower gel bottle was empty. The room was otherwise clean. The spa is underwhelming.
The main issue was going for dinner. Pre booked a table. (Alice at reception was lovely).
When we got to the restaurant they had no record of the booking. Were told to go sit wherever. 30 minutes we were sat there without menus or service. When I asked if we could have menus we were told it’s bar service. Even though the table next to us were having wine poured and ordering from the menu at the table. Ordered food - food came out was very disappointing quality. Asked the waiter about the missing side dishes. Was another 15 minutes before they arrived at which point we had finished eating and were eager to leave.
The website does a fantastic job or marketing an up market luxury hotel. Unfortunately the reality doesn’t match the reality.
