"I rarely write negative reviews, but unfortunately this stay at the Days Inn in Barrie was very disappointing. The room condition was far below what I would expect from even a basic hotel. The door jamb was broken and the paint around the trim looked inconsistent and poorly done. The back of the bathroom door was very dirty and the paint appeared uneven. When I arrived the room was freezing. I turned on the heat but it did not improve for over an hour, only to discover the window had been left open about a foot with no screen. Even after closing it, the room took roughly three hours to warm up. Cleanliness was a major concern. Under the bed had clearly not been vacuumed, especially along the wall near the headboard. The duvet cover had visible mold, there were hairs in the sink, and mold in the bathtub. The windowsill and track were extremely dirty, and both the inside and outside of the windows were covered in grime. There were also safety concerns. The extra security lock on the door was broken and could easily be pushed open, which is unacceptable. Overall this was a very poor experience due to the condition of the room, lack of cleanliness, and basic maintenance issues. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns."

"We enjoyed the room every thing was clean and comfortable however as someone with a deadly allergy to nuts your products use argan oil which is from nuts. So we had to make separate trip out to buy products that were safe for us to use this was a extra expense we were not prepared for. My recommendation would be to offer other soaps and shampoo that do not contain nut oil. When we called down to front desk no other products were available. Or even a solution offered only that there was a shippers drug Mart close by. "

"Parking was easy, check-in was very fast, the hotel is beautiful inside. Our suite was the perfect size. The whole experience was fantastic. If in the area again we will definitely be sure to come back here. "

"Glad it got updates recently. King suite with jacuzzi in bedroom is nice my baby and my husband really enjoy that after a day of skiing and snow tubing. Water pressure and hot water is great after a day in the snow. Will return again if we visit Barrie location again. . Except one staff member is a big of a grumpy face at the main counter. Since we check in and check out she was rude to her co worker. Other than that all the stuff smiled and was ll welcoming even when we walked in the halfway and wa children friendly to my baby. Unfortunately we only got to stay one night since our room was not available for 2 nights at the time of our online reservation. So we had to stay elsewhere in Barrie the next day. "

"The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good. However there was only one elevator that was working. Very inconvenient with so many people in the hotel that weekend. "

"It was way over priced. Thanks to the algorithm we paid the most out of both hockey teams. I would advise for the option to cancel and rebook. More rooms became available closer to our booking for $100 per night cheaper. The staff also called the police on the 3 teams that were hanging out in the lobby area. Not once was anyone asked to leave or shut it down. Then we had police (one was a bit aggressive especially to men) show up. The next night the hotel simply hid ALL the chairs in the managers room to discourage people from hanging out in the lobby. So instead every team there had hallway parties. The elevators were a bit fritzy and only one working. The staff were great (except for the lobby situation). It’s still new and things are being sorted out. Out shower door didn’t close. Other than that it’s close to everything, "
